Sounds like a carnifex in a unitard. I'm not sure what it would be, but it's definitely not cuddly.
Also I've not been a big fan of Zulu. He was rather arrogant and many of his statements seemed very out of touch with reality in eve. |

I doubt Zulu "got the boot" or was demoted. My guess is that he stepped down 1) because he knew it was time for some fresh meat with fresh ideas to take his place and 2) because dealing with the *******'s of Eve can't be fun during a crisis like CCP has had this past year.

I don't know why all the trolling in here for Zulu. All in all he managed the whole thing pretty well...especially the past few months for Crucible.
I for one o7 CCP Zulu. Good job so far...we just needed more love in the "Iterations" department as EVE grew. Code needs to be gone through and updated, all that good stuff.
I am glad to see you sticking around.
ALSO - say what the haters want, Incarna IS A GOOD IDEA. It just needs to be grown slowly like Unifex stated ... nothing wrong with that.
EVE is going to be gone through with a fine tooth comb and big/NEW ideas like Incarna, Like the NEX store (or artists for hire as I like to think of it) will come online slowly and surely.
Anyways...I digress.

I guess it could be translated as something along the lines of "the unifier" (which sounds like someone CCP would need)

Zulu: I'm glad you're not leaving. Whatever mistakes you made personally, and whatever mistakes you were merely the frontman taking the heat, I'm sure you learned an awful lot, and I'd hate to see that experience lost.
And -- despite having a few issues around POCOs and POS fuel and perpetually having my windows reset -- Crucible is a pretty good release. And if we look at POCOs and Fuel Blocks, compare the original plan with what was finally released -- much improved. In both cases, I think they were good ideas at the core from the start, but were rushed out before fulling working out he consequences, risks, etc.
And in any event -- all these nice little features -- like clicking the Jump button, man, I love that change -- really make Crucible a success, overall. So you're leaving the role on a good note, so far as I'm concerned. I look forward to hearing about your future plans. |

So, instead of putting Hilmar's head on a platter, we get Zulu's eh?
Sorry, it isn't enough.
Everyone knows who should be stepping down and until he does, Eve Online is still in jeopardy. Everyone knows that this craptacular NEX store is still being pushed by Hilmar and that he fully intends to find ways to make Eve players pay more real cash through it, even if it means we'll eventually see PTW items. |

Call me a carebear if you feel the need, but I'm concerned about the impression that shooting at other players is the main part of the game, that there is nothing else worth doing in our digital solar systems. I can only hope the next theme will put its focus in quite a different camp.

If we could step through it now, we'd only get our out-of-pod bodies biomassed since there's nothing there except some remaining toxic corporate dream gas ;)
And when, exactly do you see that happening, if ever? Do I expect CCP to come out and say, oh yeah, CQ is dead, no.
Do I expect CQ to sit in atrophy and limbo for the next 4 years doing absolutely nothing/waiting for the right moment to blossom, aside from maybe the occasional new clothing set, or a change to the AUR system, definitely.
I'd say prove me wrong, but CCP's own history of leaving things unfinished kind of already proves my case. |

Welcome, CCP Unifex. I look forward to your tenure as Lead Producer. My advice to you is to continue fixing the broken stuff. I think you know what needs attention.
CCP Zulu, you have great vision. In measured doses, vision is vitally important to any venture. But vision without adequate planning nearly always results in EPIC FAIL. I hope that, one day, WiS becomes the epic win that you envisioned. I believe it can be done. It just needs more work. Flesh it out and make it relevant. Then I believe the Eve-O community will welcome WiS with open arms and wallets.

Also, for those hoping for FW revamps in the war themed expansion, sorry to dissapoint, but the new expansion is going to revolve heavily around the launch of Dust 514, and it's integration. Hence their tag line "one universe, one war".

You are a complete moron lol. Apparently you have been carebearing since 2007 because most of the Tier three BC are fine as is. Just because the tier three BC is not a drake V2, or a hurricane V2 does not mean that they are not useful and good. The problem is Ti3 BC can not easily be adapted to carebearing roles, so GTFO and quit your bitching . They are fine for PVP and can't be good for carebearing, similar to an arazu or a curse. |

I feel very comfortable in saying that Unifex is an awesome guy and really has his head on straight and a solid knowledge of the game. This year is really looking up! Also, I am EXTREMELY glad that Zulu is staying on - he's a bright enough guy and I can look back at his tenure in Eve and see some really solid progress made.
Well done to both of you guys.
