I just got this when I traded a shiny new Navy Vexor to my alt:

It's good that CCP is taking action in my humble opinion. I know scamming is a part of Eve as much as piracy, but piracy is easily avoided, whereas ship selling scams are borderline griefing, and nothing will drive a 2 month old away from Eve faster than receiving a Caracal called 'Caracal Navy Issue'.

As the posters above me pointed out, this is not anti-scam, this is the Brand-Name Reatrd Proofing I mentioned in a thread a few days back.
Now can we add one that warns you everytime you undock that there are other players out there?

If you go into your options menu, there's a difficulty slider. Put that all the way over to the easiest setting and you'll be fine. |

Most stuff in Eve isn't.
Simplifying the game so even the newest players make no mistakes is a very bad direction to go in.

As someone who's never traded a rigged ship I think its quite handy tbh.
Be snobby all you like but making the game more user friendly does not equal dumbing down.

I find it kinda depressing that people don't read up on MMOs before trying them. I mean, even I knew that scams were common in EVE, and I even knew about CCP's stance on them long before I even began installing the client. 
Of course, it could be because I buy more PC gaming mags than I should.
