I posted this a little way down but I am little concerned no-one else seems to be replying.
In game trade channels, people are saying the market is screwed up at moment. Anyone with any insight want to make a comment ?
I cannot place a sell order 1 jump away. I have to be in system to do all sell trades.
Anyone ??????

I've only tried remote selling 5 jumps away. It comes up with : "Your current trade skills level only allows you to issue remote orders bound to stations within 50 jumps distance from your location"
A little annoying as I'm in a war dec and chilling out playing the market in the station for the time being.

Well I was just seling some mission loot, and the buy orders that were a decent price wouldnt let me sell to them, so i'm betting a lot of you guys here are losing isk right now. Although when this is sorted, you will get mass order filled I think

I've completely suspended all of my business because of all the bugs floating around after the patch, this one included. There's also a very annoying bug that doesn't update stacked items if you partially move them. For example if you have 1 million tritanium in your item hangar and you split it up in 2 parts of 500K then you can briefly see them splitting up into 2 parts of 500K, but shortly after that, the first stack returns to the original 1 million, you see 2 stacks, one for 1 million and one for 500K tritanium. BTW, the first stack IS 500K but it shows 1 million (so no free stuff in case you were seeing ISK-signs ).
So be careful out there!
I'm looking for freighter pilots to help me with my business. See my thread: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=476146 |

Has the market been fixed? (I won't be able to check until tonight.) I know it was supposed to be after downtime today, but I want to be sure.

It seems better, still a bit slow for the updates to show in you orders tab, but much better than it was yesterday. --

Only issue I'm still seeing is no green bar on most in-range buy orders...including my own. Trying to sell something still goes to the correct buyer but can be a pain trying to figure out if you've been outbid or just nobody selling at the moment.

no, it's not fixed, sigh, still not...
but at least I'd like to point out that the stacking bug I mentioned can be circumvented by closing your item hangar (or cargo window) and re-opening it, then the game will update your stacks. I thought I tried it before and it didn't work, but it at least works now, maybe it's CCP's temporary solution to the problem.
I can at least do business again...

What exactly is wrong? I've not noticed any problems since the patch... and I've been trading heavily.

There were some issues on patching day, but they tested fixes on SiSi and implemented them the next day.
It goes smoothly on this side too ever since.

Ulrich claims it's still broken... which is why I was asking. I certainly havn't noticed the problems.

I think they fixed the not being able to sell at a distance bug, but they didn't fix the stacking bug.
Try splitting up a stack of mods or minerals, it will not show the correct amount after splitting up. If you close your item hangar and re-open it then it will show the correct amounts again.
So for example, you have 100 mods of a certain type, if you split them up in your hangar into 2 stacks of 50 mods, then suddenly you see 1 stack for 100 mods and 1 stack for 50 mods. If you then split up the original 100-stack into 2 stacks of 25 for example, then you see 1 stack for 100, 1 stack for 50 and 1 stack for 25. If you then try to move the 100 stack into a secure cargo container and the container isn't big enough to hold 100 of those mods but big enough to hold 25 (the real value of the stack), you get an error if you don't enter exactly 25 (so before moving you need to know exactly how much the real value for that stack is, quite annoying if you're working with odd numbers of like 390000 trit for 1 GSC). Subsequently, if the size of 100 mods is bigger than 120K m3 you won't be able to setup a courier contract for it, even if it's only 25 mods which might be smaller then 120K m3.
This can get really confusing when moving large stacks of goods in multiple secure cargo containers or when you need to split up stacks of minerals to set courier contracts (which is really annyoing anyway, having to travel to the location just to split up stacks to be able to set courier contracts).
This morning they hadn't fixed it yet.
I keep my mind open for everything... but I don't believe anything. |
