We all eat at our keyboards and probably dont clean our hands properly, so, what does you keyboard smell like? mine smells like sweat and oranges.

Im afraid to take a whiff tbh.. But a visual inspection can spot about 9 years of coke stains, cigg ash, and a lot of other disgusting stuff that would probably induce an asthma attack

Luckily, unless a smell is very strong, I can't smell much. Hence, my keyboard must not be that bad. Allergies ftw! (Probably the first and only time I'll ever say that.)

Lovely keyboard that one, have one of em myself.
A bit more on topic, my keyboard smells like plastic, despite eating infront of it literally every day for almost a year.

Actually I don't think mine smells all that bad (edit: "think" as in "I don't dare to check")... Last time I cleaned it I did it because I accidentally spilled a bit of whisky in the numpad. Half of the keys stopped working, among them the some of the WASD keys (but iirc the numpad enter worked fine). Had to disassemble the thing and rinse the plastic films thorougly. Left most of the remaining mess intact, but the whisky may have added a nice bouquet to the casing.
Nevertheless, I'm not looking forward to opening it up again. Not to mention, it's a waste of good whisky :<
Also, this thread kinda calls for a repost of some funny linkage I did the other day.

i like to keep my desk area clean and tidy because i hate clutter and mess. So no messy keyboards for me, i also wipe it quite often with an antibacterial cloth thingy. :)

I found an article on slashdot yesterday fairly amusing. Yes, my desk (and pretty much the rest of the room) is a mess. Yes, I know where everything is, with the important stuff easily accessible (because it tends to be on top of the piles). I thrive on chaos.
Besides, I like to challenge my immune system a bit. Keyboards are said to be the dirtiest things we have in our homes (worse even than the toilet etc), and I think that holds true for mine. Keeping my hands on it all day keeps the immune system primed and ready for anything ;)
