Was ratting in high sec with a buddy in a different corporation. He had some shield repair drones on me so he went through clicking the window that asked if he wants to proceed with the 'dangerous' act. He clicked yes, because it obviously it wasn't dangerous. During the combat he set off his guns a split second after the enemy he was trying to target died, so he ended up attacking me instead. The window asking if he wanted to procede with the dangerous act failed to appear that time so his guns went off on me and concord killed him.
Can we either get the mechanics changed so that it stops asking if we want to procede with 'dangerous' actions even when they aren't. Maybe targets of aggression, in which concord will intervene, will be asked if they actually want concord to come in and help them. Have a window that pops up and says something like "You have been the target of an aggressive act, do you want Concord to intervene? You have 5 (or 10) seconds to respond." The player either clicks yes or no and if he/she fails to click either, the message goes away after the time limit and no action is taken.

1: A message box is not something you need if you are the target of real agression 2: using repair drones on another can get you agressed by concord, so it is a legitemetely dangerous action (check flaging rules if you want to know why) 3: after setting the drones on you he could have unlocked you and avoided the incedent...
then again getting 2 different confirmnation boxes (one for imedeately hostile actions, and one for assistence actions that can cause (criminal) flagging) would be helpfull in avoiding these kinds of incidents

if, (big if), this went ahead, it'd be better if the default action if no click is given is that Concord acts as it does now and blows up the offender. Last thing you want is to miss a chance for protection against a griefer when you're lagging or have an interface full of windows :P

A small box appearing somewhere isn't that bothering. As long as it isn't intrusive (maybe a small one next to the aggro timer?). You could have a small box wich says: "You'r under attack, do you wish to send a distress call?" and a timer running (like 15secs or something) with "NO" as the default option if the timer runs out (would prevent much of that crappy AFK mining).
If one press "yes" when under attack, then your ship dials 911 and concord comes flying (for the rescue?) and sentry-guns start blazing. These distress calls could even be sent when you'r in low-sec. And the actual distress call would be the "trigger" for a security hit for the agressor.
If you don't like what I say, just ignore it, or admit I got to you. |

Make CONCORD to come by default and add little button next to the argo timer to send them message to back off.
