Hi all
CCP, is there any chance of increasing the number of copying slots on mobile labs from 1 per lab? I see no point in having 5 invention slots when you can't make the copies to invent from... I've got all these BPOs, but I'm struggling to get them all copied and public lab queues are getting longer by the day...
How about it CCP? This may be one bottleneck in the invention chain...?

I second that.
Have general Labs that have 3 slots per type (i.e., 3 ME research, 3 PE research, 3 copy and 3 invention slots per lab).
Introduce special function labs: ME research lab, PE research lab, Copy lab and Invention lab that have six slots of their designated speciality and 1 of each of the other.
Make mobile labs rentable to the puplic with standings filters and price filters. If I chose to rent out my labs I could set the price for each research function say install 50.000 and hourly fee 10.000 or whatever I choose. I can set a different price for my alliance, for private corp member jobs or decide to restrict access to those I give positive standings.

Mobile labs need ot have three copy slots. Still can't figure out whey they didn't come with them to begin with.

that part of being able to rent the slots to the public would be the best part :P

I wouldn't think it would be too difficult to just add various lab configurations to the market. Copy-Paste of the current lab database entry and just change the slot configuration. It would be nice to have a "BPC Production Lab", "Material Research Lab", "Invention Research Lab", "Production Research Lab", and the current multi-function lab all on the market. Letting us choose how to fit out our research POS's.
If we had a copy focused lab, I would probably be more likely to move our research POS away from a station with research facilities. We put our research pos in a system with research facilities just for this reason, lack of copy slots in the mobile lab. Could help spread out the offices that are being rented in low sec, and cut down on office rental fees inflation.

Signed... Labs are great to research your BPOs up real nice, but if you have a BPC selling business it is very limiting.

just make the lab have 10 general slots instead of a set amount for each and each can be used for either copying/ME/PE/invention, just cant run more than 10 jobs a once. Just my opinion.

Definately a good idea..
What I would suggest however is instead of just adding more slots. Have 3 different types of labs.
Small Mobile Lab (as the current one is).
Medium Mobile Lab (increase all the types of slots by 3).
Large Mobile Lab (increase all the types of slots by 5).
Don't increase the CPU usage (or only marginally), just make it so that they can only be attached to their corresponding sized tower. This way there is a significant advantage to running labs on large POS's (creating more large POS, meaning yes small scale corps need to work harder to maintian the large pos). Also it would be good to change the size of the hangers in the labs, so when Battleships (and capital modules etc.. if ever) become inventable they can only be done at a Large Lab. CBC/Cruisers need to be done in medium or bigger labs etc.
