Thats right negotator, now your going to have to WORK a little after you get though popping 10 inocoents and finally lose your ship. Your still only doing the tiniest fraction of the work you cost others. Funny that your whining about it already, pirates are weak. Now the regular guys get a chance to ply our strength against yours, we are willing to work hard to buy more ships, your only willing to kill if its easy, and thus rely on lots of PvP exp and fighting skills to compensate for our work ethic. I for one am tired of having no way to balance pirate gurilla tactics as good guys with our skill set. This is a good change and I really hope it stays this way.

you completely missed the point and u personalized this thread. i dont realy care if i loose ships - i have enough money to buy several battleships, CFS members keep buying their loot back which gives a fairly good income. Dont worry, its not 10 innocents, its far far more ;) Statisticly, i loose a ship every week...

... (ran through 10 Ospreys in about a week once when they were about 10m each )
Did you miss the point? No insurance. Tier 1 cruisers were the best cruisers availible. They were selling around 10m each. I went through 10 in a week.
Takes more than pluck to dent someone prepared even with complete losses.

Insurance at the moment is unbalanced and pretty dull. Its static where as it should move with the market. Some better system (s) would be:
* Average the battleship price price or whatever your trying to insure and cover a fixed percentage of that (or a fixed percentage of mineral cost at regions average mineral values).
* Could have insurance given by megacorps and the standing with them effects the payout a little. Maybe your sec rating too could effect it.
* Your death history could be used also. If you die repeatedly, obvious an realistic company with raise your cover charge. Could apply here too. Would hurt PVPer that die alot more. Could be weighted against combat experience (how many ship you killed) so its not all carebearish.
