Ok a bit off subject here ... but to say SA "spout" FIX has about the same accuracy as saying China landed the 1st colonies in America that later became USA.
Sry for the derail but that quote is so wrong in so many ways.

I'm not going to read 4 pages of thread to see if it's been said or not but THE most influential entity was the original Curse Alliance.
Just about every political view today is based on things back then.
Keiretsu - Foundation: differences in points of view based on CA politics
RA: "You guys screwed up CA. We're going to inhabit the regions we've lived in since the dawn of time and we're going to shoot the people responsible for busting up CA"
BoB: Ex CA corps carrying on CA's notion of world conquest.
Fountain Alliance: Killed off by ex CA corps of BoB/[5]. Became bitter at other northern entities and eventually began to shoot them. :See Also: RISK [5]: a bunch of ex CA corps still holding their grudge against Xetic.
Stain (Whateveritwas): "****, the old curse boys are killing Xetic. WE GIVE UP!!!"
Imperium: "Those guys screwed up and screwed over my beautiful alliance!!"
V: Ex Stain corps somehow fascinated with the power of the ex CA entities about. They make friends with ex CA corps that later found...
LV: Ex CA corps, bent on conquest. They are helped to power by V and later drom V like a bad habbit. They can't help it though, they are ex CA afterall.
New CA: "Those tards messed up my alliance, I'll rebuild it, better than ever."
The north you ask.......
LV and BoB and several independant ex-ca corps have continued to shoot them through NORAD, Fade Union, G/IRON, D2/IRON/friends just like old CA policy used to dictate.
anyway, no alliance current or past has had as muchprofoundimpact on the game as old CA......YET |

Note that the OP said ALLIANCES, not corps. So stop counting up boring noobs like moo etc.
I'd say CA leaves the biggest legacy, due to the sheer amount of forum trolls that will accept no less than CA having been gods among men and that every day in CA was like being in heaven.
Also note that CA won every fight with no exceptions.
Nostalgia ftw

The PA doesn't deserved even the slightest recognition for pvp ability.
But for me since days past:
#1 SA/CA for kicking the **** out off each other (the good days)
#2 BoB for sheer organization, military strenght and logistics.
#3 G some of best pvpers the north has ever seen.
#4 Xetic the first major industrial alliance. Remember fighting them back in the day no matter how many ships you killed they always came back in new ones and really didn't smack.. all around good guys.
#5 CFS a prelude of what could have been. I don't think there has ever been a true free space alliance. CFS came pretty close but in the end they withered and died.

I don't think any alliance has really left a lasting legacy in Eve.
ASCN built loads of outposts, but there is nothing left to say ASCN built these outposts and in a few years time they will just be another conquerable station to the majority of people left in game.
The average subscription length is only 7 months. Some alliances don't even last that long.
I've almost forgot that BoB exist without them posting in here. There is nothing in the regions they conquered that says BoB dominated here.
The older players will remember Xetic / CA / SA etc, but once those older players go, those alliances are forgotten as far as eve history is concerned.
I doubt any alliance really wants to be remembered by a Titan wreck people can visit. |

Sooooooo... after 4 borring pages... where people nominated m0o quite a few times as being the alliance that left some legacy (bcouse they heard something aboutit froma friend)
we have 2 alliances that stand out for leaving a true legacy: ASCN - with the outpost infrastructure that actually make living possible in quite a few regions SA - for giving out so many good corporations to eve and a legacy and for building some and for lasting so long and...

m0o hands down.
As far as an alliance goes, it's an unlikely pick but they definetly get my vote, and that's Norad. Why? Because they have been struggling since day one of the formation of the alliance. From day 1 to the last day they held on for 3 years of constant struggle and invasion from bigger groups, and alwayz managed to kick the enemies out.
