Attention! Attention! Heretics are going to attack us once again!
Quote: ORVOLLE GÇô Blood Raider Covenant leader Omir Sarikusa has broadcast a call for Sani Sabik cults to raid military cloning facilities across the four core empires of New Eden, whether they be in space or on planets.
The Scope's GalNet and FTL comms monitoring service picked up the open and unencrypted call by Omir Sarikusa early this morning. In remarks laden with Blood Raider and Sani Sabik imagery, Sarikusa calls for "the faithful of our covenant of blood to rise up and reclaim the purest flesh before it is sullied by the witches and the four beasts of the system".
The references to "witches" and "four beasts of the system" appear to refer to the Sisters of EVE and the "Big Four" CONCORD powers: the Amarr Empire, Caldari State, Gallente Federation and Minmatar Republic. The Blood Raider Covenant maintains its own large force of raiding vessels, operating in widely dispersed "hunting parties" and has rarely called so openly on Sani Sabik cultists to take up arms.
The Blood Raider Covenant is an extreme and highly dangerous branch of the Sani Sabik sects that broke with the Amarr Empire many centuries ago. The extreme theology of the Covenant is not shared by all Sani Sabik cults, though some have rivalled it for ruthless and sadistic violence.
Isolated incidents within major cities of the four empires have been reported but it is not known if there have been actual raids on military facilities in response to Sarikusa's call. The military and internal security forces of the core empires are reported as being on full alert.

I mean, people criticise our metaphors. The Cake of Lies, fit only for the Pigeons of Heresy, which are scattered by the Cat of Truth, and so on.
But they're at least memorable.
And "witches" is pretty tame for an insult of the SoE.

You are thinking of Nauplius too much. Sabiks generally (after all there are many sects of Sani Sabik) do not discriminate on race; only talent, will, and drive.
Also the Covenant needs to rearm, their vessels are hopelessly outdated compared to Nation, Sleeper, or Drifter vessels. After all, there are those who are great, and those who exist to serve those who are great. |

They aren't that bad. They are just overspecialised for capacitor warfare. They are also very slow, as expected from their preference for armour doctrines, but this is more or less remedied with their specialised stasis webifier electronic systems.
I swore they stole the last one from the Minmatar.
Granted. That they tend to have few med slots means that to truly take advantage of their enhanced web range, it's best if there's two of them working in tandem.

Now, now, Diana. War has rules for a reason and, at least, we are in a properly declared war.

That was first your idea, I have just moved it towards more important targets.
Besides, weren't you a police officer? Don't criminals deserve fair trial to find out if they were actual pirates and committed actual illegal acts before you push the trigger?.. Unlike them, when you have wartargets - you don't need tribunals. You just shoot'em.

Oh, you can shoot war-target ships without problems, Diana. I meant the crews to those ships and the Federal Civilians. There's not much you can throw at a war-target and feel bad about after, but you really shouldn't be killing the people, once they can't resist.

Blood and Wine in a glass. You can not imagine how many aristocrats in the Empire worshiped the "Red God" believing in eternal life.

Crews of Federal military ships are not civilians, they are Federal military personnel. Federal Civilian crew are in Federal civilian ships, and I don't care about them - just waste of ammunition. But those, who are inside Federal miliary ships - they are the enemies.
Just like those, who work on a pirate ships as crewmembers - they are pirates, not civilians. And if the enemy can't resist - it is their problem, not mine. They shouldn't have attacked us, and if they were so incompetent to lose their weapon - it is their disgrace and their shame. If I give them chance to return and grab another weapon, then some Caldari citizens and civilians might suffer because I won't be close to save them again from a gallentean occupant, that I foolishly let to escape.
All of us make our own choices what to do, whom to serve, and whose orders to follow. And everyone must answer for their actions and choices. Including crewmembers.

I used to have much the same attitude towards some hostile groups, principally Blooders. Then it was pointed out to me that you can't really interrogate a corpse or get much intelligence from a destroyed installation. As a consequence I don't destroy structures unless ordered to do so in a mission brief or by my FC. And I only destroy actively hostile ships, or merchant shipping that I have been tasked to interdict.

See, now that's a metaphor.

I can empathise with the notion of prioritising company over self, but Caldari culture is, to my mind, too conservative. I can see why, it being the product of such a harsh world, but I believe it would not suit me.

True enough. I have done a little work for the Megas but have spent little time in the State. I guess if I get the opportunity I may rectify that. Assuming I'm not KOS in State space by then. Not right now though.
