So is nobody going to actually comment on the console itself, does nobody have one? I guess this proves that either a) its too expensive or b) a flop. Me hints the Sega, Nintendo route for Sony in years to come lol. I liked the PS2, that was until the Xbox arrived with Xbox Live. I am really interested to know what online features the PS3 has to offer in comparison to the 360's "Live Marketplace". If you havent already guessed, i own a 360 and to be honest i'll never get a PS3 unless they pull something that beats the 360 out of the bag. The 360 is an amazing console, i remember reading about somebody who linked 28x 360's together to make one of the most powerful server clusters but thats beside the point. The 360 has a really good online service that will be hard to be beaten. And the added advantage of being able to "flash" the dvd drive at no added cost which lets you play copied games online... no more paying some dodgy fella at a market to "chip" your console :)

I heard people were accidently throwing the wii controller through their large screen plasma/lcd tv's playing things like golf etc. that cant be good for sales :).
Microsoft never made a profit on sales of the consoles for the original xbox, they only made money on the games... so i wouldnt be suprised if Sony claws back on games sales alone over the next 12-24 months. i mean friggin hell the console is stupidly priced atm. In the industry this must be the "impulse buyers time".

That should be a real advert because the main thing that puts me off about Wii's is the adverts they show with the terrible games and terrible graphics. i mean fishing... who really plays fishing games come on.
as for the ps3 vs xbox 360 war, microsoft are obvously going to monopolise this industry too because it so close to what their real skills are about... 360 is now going to be compatable with the PC users so PC users will be able to join servers with 360 users and visa versa. its features like this that a) sony cannot hope to match and b) makes the whole gaming experience more wide range.

At least with Nintendo and Sony, they thought about the console, and not rammed a PCs motherboard and DVD drive into a white plastic box and classed it as a 'good console'.

lol yeah i was going to say... you dis the PC hardware driven 360 then say "PC's ftw"
PC's have always been the best... the fact that the XB is basically a PC futher strenthens that fact... if people have got Linux etc. to run on a console then its the best of both worlds. Plus the thing is pretty cheap for a PC with that kinda hardware.
Why does everybody truly hate Microsoft, is it because they are successful? Is it because they buy out the little guy? Is it because they want to make a buck off everybody on the planet? Or is it that everyone just hates Bill Gates? Because unless they cause a world war or somehow cripple the economy, i dont care.
