Here are some questions on manufacturing:
1)After I have the blueprints and skills how do I actually produce stuff? Do I have to buy an office? Do offices count as the saem thing as factories?
2) I have been playing this game for a few days and have a destroyer. I have lvl 3-4 on mining and industry and mass production. I also have 1.7 million ISK. Should I attempt to buy an office/factory and produce anything?
3)If I produced anything at my lvl would I make a better profit than by mining?
Thankyou

1) While in a station, right click a blueprint, select manufacture.
Basically you rent a factory slot at an hourly rate for the duration of your job - your only other cost will be the materials required to actually build the items.
2) If you want to experiment with production or need something you can't easily get locally there's no harm in making them yourself.
However at this stage building yourself may not always be the cheapest option when you compare the cost of the minerals with what people are selling the same item(s) for nearby.
3) Unless the local markets have something you can make a total killing on I can't see you making major profits.
There's a skill called "Production Efficiency" which reduces the amount of minerals used in manufacturing.
Most high-population areas have markets with very thin profit margins because of the level of competion between players - without production efficiency trained I imagine you'd spend more making items than you could sell them for.
--- Overkill. Because there's no prize for second place. |

1) You do not need an Offcie to build something. Just need to be in a station with a Science & Industry facility. Simply open that page (if available in that station) and select the Installations tab. Select the facility you are in, choose an open slot and it will walk you through the rest.
Offices are NOT the same thing as factories. Offices allow for Corp hangars and through various means of security settings you can allow people access to various corp assets (or not as you like).
2) No. At this point you are way too early in the game ot be able to produce anything efficiently. That said you can find cheap BPOs on the market easily enough and it may be worth your time to grab one and play around with building things so you get a sense of how it all works. For some simple items the costs should be minor.
3) See #2 above. It is very doubtful you'll be able to produce anything for a profit. You might if you spot some hole in the market and exploit it but that is unlikely as there are a lot of people looking for those same opportunities. Tech 1 items are almost a commodity so the profit margins are quite low and making a profit depends on perfect building skills along with fully researched BPs (to lower build time and material costs).
That said don't let me put you off building. Just because you are not skilled enough yet to make a serious go at it doesn't mean you can't be someday. Realize the best builders have truly frightening spreadsheets (complex spreadsheets...should see some of mine...noting I do for my job comes close) and track the markets, download in game data to analyze and so on. For all that people think PvP in EVE only happens at the end of a gun you'd be amazed at how involved the building aspects can get and market "PvP" is very real.
Up to you of course and whatever suits you. There are builder corps out there that might let you join. If someday you want to be a leet builder think of it like starting out in the stock market with a little cash. Earn a bit more and re-invest, earn more, re-invest and so on. Work on building a BPO collection (down the road those can be hyper expensive....billions). In time you can find yourself in a good position to be a master builder.

If you're doing combat stuff, try building some ammo. You might not be doing as best you can as far as profit goes, but it's a good way to get familiarized with researching blueprints and building stuff, so that when you're thinking about building more stuff, you'll be familiar with the terms and methods. The blueprints are cheap, and you can either mine your own minerals, or use the minerals you get from reprocessing some of your loot. ;p
Keep in mind that, while production is very competitive, there is money to be made, depending on particular local markets. However, a lot of that money you can make through wise trading, whether you're producing or not.

Probably not worth the time looking, unless you've got Production efficiency trained to V, and a nicely research blueprint you won't be able to match the prices people are selling at, and for the most part there are plenty of people selling for less than the cost of materials.

You dont have enough ISK. Also the only relevant skill is Production Efficiency. Get that to level 4, buy a nice cheap BPO, research it a bit and then start producing.

In mining you primarily invest your playtime. With manufacturing you invest ISK. So the profits arent really comparable. It depends on how much ISK you already have.
