Basically, add some effects when these are active. The AB should just give a very pronounced jet plume from the engine's of a ship. The MWD on the other hand, should give the ship completely black trails behind it, since it's creating a sliding through a partial area of depleted vacuum to get it's speed boost.

Warp drive is explained in an article in Eve Fiction as being an energy depleted vacume to travel faster than light. As MWD is a miniwarp, partially depleted vacume would explain it.

What i would like is that the activated warp drive always shows the engine animation, like it does when turning them on before set an warp-to-destination. When do so from the stand with engines of, i alway warp with engines off wich looks like a flying stone 
Or what would be even better, give the ships another set of engines beside the sublight engines wich engage at tbe warptravel. For example blue glowing in startrek style^^
