Corp theft is allowed by CCP, if he did corp theft on you, it is by YOU'RE own fault.
You have let down you'r corp and you'r alliance.
First by allowing him in, then by giving him acces and 3rd by saying screw this and killing even further you're alliance.
He may have stole 4b in whatever from you're corp, but it was through you're own actions that he was able to do this, and you're alliance is going down through you're actions.
I don't understand how someone like you ended up in the leadership anyway. A person who has no ideea about game mechanics and who has so far screwed over more ppl than the corp thief has done.
So the corp thief has done damage to you're corp, how is this any different than what you are doing right now, by preventing him to leave. Well, he can petition the entire leadership, have you all banned, and the alliance will probably have an even greater loss just there.
PS: If you have concrete evidence of account sharing than petition him asap.
Again i am sorry for the loss the corp sustained and the alliance, but i am no longer sorry for the loss you sustained.

Be very very careful about accusations you throw around mate. I don't condone his actions in any way at all, but I know the guy in real life and I know he doesn't share his account with anyone.
As far as I am aware:
- you have been trying to track him down irl
- you have stopped him from leaving your corp
- you have made real life threats against him
None of the above are acceptable in my opinion and I suspect CCP may think so too.
At the end of the day, this is a player who is a known corp thief (check the forums, he has done it before) that you let into your corp. If you are surprised when he steals stuff then that's bad management on your part.
However, I can see how you might be annoyed at the game mechanics that allow someone to shuttle 10-20 reasonably valuable ships from a POS without needing some form of access rights (you were lucky he couldn't fly a carrier, from what I understand!) - perhaps the ability to lock down ships in some way at a POS so only the owner or a POS-manager can move them might be a useful feature (won't help you now but might help people in general in future)?
You are taking this way too seriously and way too personally and, if you continue to act the way you are, you are going to lose a lot of respect and possibly your account. That'd be a shame because while I think you are over-reacting, you obviously care about the game and you clearly have a strong sense of responsibility, as any CEO or director should, for their corp.

Wow, and I thought I was ticked losing a Mega to full room agro and lag last night. Thing is, my corpmates are already planning to help me build a new one. That's teamplay.
I can't imagine losing billions to a mistake but I know it has to be a gutting experience. Might want to take some time away so you can get perspective.

You sure he didn't use any exploits or such? I mean, -9.9 character who has been in some 30 corps gets access to remarkable sum (3 billions for you) in less than 12 days? Surely it was some hack from his part.
Some people do get upset for dying in their Empire hauler when they didn't sought for combat; some people act the same when facing betrayal. That kind of freedom is addiction for some us; hopefully those who don't like such harsh world will find some other game suiting them better.

Aragog has been in my corp also, and i'll say this..... Yeh he's a cheaky chap that's for sure, yeh he did a few things that raised an eyebrow. but all in all a nice guy, never stole or attempted to from us. There was NO evidence of him breaking the rules (account sharing ect) or anything like that....

Somebody call the waaaaaaaambulance, because I hear a lot of crying! There's no reason this should be a bannable offense. YOU gave him access to do this, so YOUR the real offender here.
These threads should have their own category, so people interested in the crying can all form a support group to make themselves feel better about their own stupidity.
I love how Dave says "WE CAN MAKE IT BACK EASILY", but follows it up with "CCP CAN BAN ME AND ALL OUR DIRECTORS" because he wants to grief this thief. Sounds like the thief wins, and your whole corp loses.

Any corp that is foolish enough to not have a rigourous security check system in place tp prevent corp theft. IMO gets exactly what they deserve... I had my corp robbed 2x before I finally wised up and found a way to prevent theft outright. ATM the only hanger that is accessable is the general equipment bays. Everything from ammo on up to ships and named / high end items are kept in a HIGH secured hanger setup with station where houses. There is no reason why people need to complain and whine about how there corp was robbed. Not with CCP making possible to place 100% security on your stuff. its rediculous (note to grammer ****s that word as well as many others may be misspelled..get over it I did). If you want the security then you will figure out ways to make it work. Its not rocket science.

It was a traveling setup, 35 jumps through low sec to where i wanted to go. If i didnt have stabs fitted i would have died in each ship i moved. So, sorry if i disappointed and didnt fight, but had 6 stabs fitted.

Stop your whining girly man! Stealing is part of the game, pre-scan your members a little better, check into their previous corps.. set yourself a time limit before you give them righs to anything, get to know them.. get their address IRL so if they do, you can beat them down!!!

Corp thieving is lame, but I am glad it is in the game, I love risk in games and that is why I play eve, gives me a rush!!!

Yes Corp Theft is currently allowed by CCP... but that doesn't make the person who does it a nice person. It shows them as one who should be taken out whenever they are found. This started out as just an information post to tell anyone who would be concerned about Corp theft to avoid this person. Now we seem to have all the promoters of thievery swilling in their own verbal juice loving the evil deed this person has done. Sure the poster appears to be waffling on whether he cared or not when it happened. BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT. The person who would stab their friends in the back (and did) is the point. And you want to have him in your Corp?
Now I have a CEO alt and IÆve looked at the interface for Corp rolesà and it is really really hard to know what each of those things do. And there is no detailed manual on how to set those roles for various scenarios. And when this happens everyone blames the CEO for giving them rights and they steal billions. It is confusing enough in that interface that you could have thought you set it correctly but find out afterà that things ôwalkedö. Where is the manual from CCP explaining in detail how Corp roles work?
