This (along with the fact that I was webbed at 18 km in our fight) leads me to believe, that he has a character in local boosting him through gang skills.

Ah...Dodiez just pointed me out to this thread. Paddyman, Dodiez and I are usually ganged; and she doesn't have any leadership skills. When possible, if one of my refs isn't around for the fight, I bring her in to commandeer ships if I've ransomed them out. I would have webbed you at 25km, except I was pressing all the wrong buttons. I have no issue with being in gang with the person I'm fighting, post aggro - I've done so quite a few times at their request. However, if the person challenging me were to leave gang, my presumption (and I daresay that its a safe presumption) is that you're leaving gang to form a gang with your buds, who will shortly warp into the fight. The reason you, and everyone else is in gang with a referee is so that if anyone wants to cause trouble, they're going to have to scan our safespot down and get their on their own power - there won't be sudden surprises. Do you think that there is no one in Eve who would bet 100 million ISK, get their corp buddies to wait a system over, and after we're fighting, and they've locked me down, call in their corp to gank me? Don't be a sore loser. =p If you want to step back up, we can have a three-way gang, but it continues to remain such - if my challenger leaves the EDIT for spelling gang I default presume foul play is in order. First of all, a draw is not a loss. Second, I scanned your set up after our fight with an alt. You had a 15 km domination web fitted. Also, a 75% web does not slow my ship down to 12m/sec. Just because some unknown alt tells us you are usually ganged with her and that she has no leadership skills, it does not make it true. Busted.
