I normally don't post on these forums, and especially don't feel the need to brag about anything on here. I rather prefer talking through our killboard. But today something so unbelievable awesome happened, that i HAD to make a post about it. It all started this afternoon, when i was doing my daily business, which includes probing down mission runners and the like. I found a gang of 4 battleships running a lvl 4 mission, a Tempest, a Raven, an Armageddon and a Dominix. They all were members of noob corps and their names all ended with numbers (ie. name01). So i didnt really consider them a strong fighting force (farmers). Being in the mighty Hyperion battleship myself and also being hungry for blood I went for it. Thx to a covert ops, I warped in at the right moment, landed 21km away and warp scrambled the Dominix. To my surprise the 3 other battleships ran, so i got an easy kill and a couple of millions in loot. Pleased with the outcome of that, I docked and logged since i had some rl business. The covert stuck around tho, mainly to get local used to it. When I came back online, the next mission spot, of exactly the same gang was quickly probed down. They knew about me by now tho, so it was quite suspicious that they stuck around at their mission entry point without even jumping in to their mission. Since the Tempest was missing and it only was 3 bs left (Armageddon, Raven, Dominix), I decided to give it a try nonetheless. I warped in and proceeded to attack the Dominix (known to fit remote armor reps from last kill). Thats when the fun started. While i was tearing through the Dominix's hp, I saw a second Raven and a Megathron incoming. But INFOD never retreats (especially not when warpscrambled), so I immediately went for the Raven after the Dominix popped. The Megathron and the second Raven arrived and it was 4 battleships pounding on my now. Being pretty well skilled in everything necessary for the hyperion, my tank was doing well for the amount of firepower on me, slowly reaching 40% armor, but I was worried about cap booster charges. I decided to put my nosferatus on my next target already, the Megathron. The moment the Raven exploded and I switched to the Mega, my tank was back up at 60% and the remaining Raven and Armageddon warped out. O_o While I was collecting the loot I tried to calm down. Having fought outnumbered against several BS before, I have to admit this was my first 1vs5. And it clearly was my best moment in EVE. You gotta love players, whose names end with numbers... ^^ I felt like sharing this moment, as it explains why I love this game. Hope you enjoyed the read. *edit: I forgot to mention.
