I've been playing around with it in Singularity and I think it is a great little ship.
It won't replace the Orca but you're deluded if you thought it ever would. The closest ship I can think of this replacing is actually the Miasmos as with my skills it has the same ore hold size but it gains a Fleet Hangar and more cargo space. It also has the ability to boost fleets as well as use mining drones.
I have to admit it suits my mining styles a lot more. I run a small corp that specialises in Mining Frigates and while the Orca is nice it's kind of limited to where we want to go. Once the Porpoise is released I'm selling Orca and using Porpoise.
I don't want to hear from the mining purists who call mining times and yield etc because that's not how I play. The Porpoise is actually the ship I've been looking for for quite some time so I would just like to say thank you CCP.
Now hurry up November 15. |

I wish I could give it a go, the singularity on my computer is broken, I can't undock, nor does the ship even appear in the hanger. |

Try this:
Log on Singularity and press the ESC menu. Then to go "Reset Setting" and choose "Clear Cache files".
This gives you a warning that you have to relog after, so press yes. If you have all the skills it should work.
