the funny thing is I think #2 through #7 are good fun and I'll be trying for a couple of them, but item #1 is exactly the kind of thing that CCP has in the past taken action against (and not just in newbie systems).
I'd suggest dropping #1 and just focus on 2 through 7, still plenty of targets. |

Alpha Clones can only use certain modules and ships. If you want to fake the system, you will stand out anyway. Easy to spot!

There's a reason Rule 1. exists. If you think you can become no.1 in #1 by being selective and target these characters only, well, you'll be burned out the first week already.

No. Still waiting for you to point to the part of the contest that says to target noobs. I might have had too many beers already, but I'm pretty sure the part you quoted says to kill "individual players in Highsec". If you are referring to the "registered on or after the 15th" part.. that is referring to registering a killmail. Not the age of the player. Try to keep up.
Your argument is invalid. |

Once again CODE. creating content and giving back to the community! Truly the only group that actually cares about making highsec a better place.
And carebears still find a reason to complain |

No. Still waiting for you to point to the part of the contest that says to target noobs. Just because someone makes an new character doesn't mean that they are new.[/quote] Vets creating a new account know how to avoid most ganking attempts so the main group that will get killed in this event will be noobs. If you target especially new players when there is an update that is intended to draw in new players this is damaging to EVE! Normal ganking is bad enough for noobs but you are stepping up the killing of noobs.

Not a word about the unfairness of killing people that are just learning how to play EVE. You are worried about the gankers getting banned but not about the new players. If CCP wouldn't ban you, you would camp the career agent undock to get the most kills? Of cause, it would be for the good of EVE so the new players learn that there is nowhere save in New Eden..........

First, I despise CODE and all that they represent as a group.
Second, CODE MIGHT actually earn some respect if they put down a simple and respectful rule among themselves to NOT kill players under three (3) months of age while in HIGH security space.
Third, It is my opinion that trying to explain concepts of morality and respect to the type of player that CODE attracts is fairly futile so don't bother getting into debate over this 'kids war' with supporters of this 'contest' or whatever you choose to call it.
Fourth, If you dislike my post then simply ignore it. Do not bother quoting this in an effort to invoke a response, I will not be posting further to this thread.

What an exciting contest!
It's really got the forum bears in a twist, too. Remember bears, aggression in EVE is an intended feature, both lawful and unlawful. Nothing turns new players away from EVE faster than solo grinding the boring, predictable highsec PvE content.
I'm definitely going to be ganking more prolifically so that as many alphas as possible will get the full experience of EVE. They will face adversity, adapt and overcome it, and happily subscribe for years to come.
I'll probably catch some of those new mining NPCs too because... they're literally bots. |

I think in a game where yarring is a part of the mechanics this sort of 'event' is fine......this is EVE after all...
What I don't like is the way CODE folk try to reason it out with logic when the truth of the matter is y'all just love to blow **** up.....
Don't be shy.....don't try to hide it beneath fancy words.....just admit it and be done with it.....CODE loves to gank noobs and haulers and miners......stop making out like it is any kind of 'service' to ccp......there is no shame in admitting ya like to yarr.....but there is shame in not having the cojones to just admit it's all about the km's
Make it a thing.....lol I mean I would have more respect if you guys were honest and put in your bio something like
CODE km whoring since (whenever)
Meh I dunno whatever floats your boats i guess....just trying to ease the anger that seems to relentlessly be sent your way....ultimately though CODE's existence doesn't bother me and I can't say it ever will but with this attitude CODE members have of 'we are right you are wrong' is just arrogance by any other name and that is not cool.....
Anyway good luck hope you all have fun o/ |

It's both.
I don't really have much of a killboard to speak of because my support for CODE. is mostly at a logistical level.
I support CODE. because chaos makes EVE more fun, and CODE. cause chaos.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

I like this. But I think the competition should only be open to Alpha clones. Otherwise I feel it's not entirely in the spirit of EVE. |

Using alpha clones to gank hi-sec could make ccp turn off the possibility to disable safety in hi-sec with alpha clones.
This is to avoid abuse, because if you make an alpha to suicide kill noobies in hi-sec you don't lose nothing. |

I see this sentiment a lot around the forums. People seem to think that if you use an alpha to gank then no losses or penalties apply, when in fact the exact same losses and penalties apply as when an omega ganks. They lose a gank ship and sec status.
Believe it or not, an alpha account doesn't come with a free stack of gank ships. You have to either feed it assets from your main or hop in that ibis and build up from there (have fun with all that).
Your brain is broken if you can't comprehend this. |

Will CCP get me?

The fact that cheap ships can be used to blow things up is an entirely different issue. |
