Well, I just read in the most recent interview posted on the homepage that there is a possibility of open stations. You will be able to get out of your ship and walk around. Can this be confirmed? And if so, how exciting!

It's been known for a couple of months now. There's already a sizeable club of angry whiners demanding that CCP stop it. Use the forum search facility if that kind of thing floats your boat.
I think it'll be a nice extension that adds some atmosphere to the game and it helps them develop the technology for other uses.

My bad, I am new to these forums. Just started using them today so I could confirm the Capital ship yard destruction was true lol.

And I agree with you, I think it will make for a nice addition to the game. It will be more face to face when recruiting someone, and once there is multiple parts to a station or planet it will be very interesting. As long as it doesn't become crappy like Star Wars Galaxies....

Only thing I saw when I read the artitle was 'casino' 
Looking forward to no limit texas hold em for isk and judgeing by how I normally do losing billions

- Go to the casino
- Play a little
- Forget it
That is the problem with luck games... If they make a casino, CCP "must" choose some game deep enough to make us stick on it. Aka Poker, Chess, etc, etc.
The problem with Poker & co is ISK farming.

could open up alot of possibilities if they managed to do that,casinos sound good too  maybe a bar? though dont know how that would work really..could be fun though
sure that would mean you would have to have broadband to play eve though...

Rolling around in pods in stations ... Don't point the devs to such crazy ideas.
After snowball launchers in winter, we might get pod painting sets at Easter.

it's been something that ccp has wanted for a while but it's a pretty significant undertaking to do. enter white wolf and their presumed vampire mmorpg and you have ccp developing the engine for that and then being able to use it for eve as well. were i a betting man that's what i'd say.

Poker would work well if it's done like real poker - players vs. players and the casino takes a rake. Then it's an isk sink, so farming it wouldn't work.

Poker would have to be player vs player to make it worthwhile... it is the "ultimate" in PvP card games. :)
