Currently, the in-game voice(s) are stored inside resource files, I think in .BNK (bink) format?
Request: Create external file-based audio files for the voice-acted audio in the game and use those for voice acting audio playback in-game. Use a publicly available popular format such as .ogg, .mp3, or .flac.
Purposes:
1) To allow people to have new, or older audio voice files as they desire. (New Aura or Old Aura as an example.)
2) To allow people to record, and use their own customized voice actor packs for EVE. Imagine ship or NPC character voices done by Tony Jay, or That Movie Guy, or your favorite alliance person with "that voice" on comms.
Other information:
a) Game would automatically create any missing external audio files from the defaults in the internal .res files when the external files are missing.
b) Users could replace the individual files with different audio recordings, changing as much, or as little as they desire. (Maybe they just like the old Aura for a few navigation things.)

Aye, you have my vote.
Not that CCP will pay any heed to you.
CCP Falcon has probably found someone somewhere who likes the new Aura, Donald Duck on speed, voice and will use it as evidence of the overwhelming support for the new Aura.

The old Aura is just called Aura. The new voice is not worthy of the name, and we should call her something else.

Now her voice sounds very slightly metallic, and certainly not "worn". More like "perky" and on caffeine.

I have suggested this somewhere else.
This will allow us to have whatever suitable (or unsuitable!) voice samples we want.
Clearly a good compromise and one that other games have implemented in the past. I fondly remember my X-Files samples for a couple of characters in BG etc. |

I really don't see how CCP could keep their head in the sand for much longer regarding this issue. We simply need an answer. Keeping silent obviously isn't doing them any good. |

I rather like the idea of being told, "Yo! Screwball! Your docking request is denied!" or similar, less than friendly, remarks. "User friendly" systems have never appealed to me for some reason.
