So I'm a veteran player, I've been gone for a few years because long story short I was like 16 when I played and my parents paid for my subscription, then said I had to do it myself and I don't make enough money to be comfortable with paying monthly for a game tbh. So I decided to come back now that I can have an alpha clone... at this point I'm kinda just playing to tide me over on space games until Star Citizen is fully launched though.
I've googled all around and I haven't found an answer so I thought I'd post- I understand that Alphas can't train certain levels of skills, but if I already have those skills trained from when I subscribed, do I still benefit from them?
I.E. Alpha clones can only train Explosive Armor Compensation to level 1, but I have level 4 because I trained up that far when I was subscribed. Does my alpha clone then benefit from only 1 of those levels or do I get all 4 of them added to my resistances?
Thanks for your patient answers and cheers.
Love how beautiful the game looks now by the way. I hope I can find the income to subscribe again so I can use the Armageddon that's currently collecting dust in my hangar right now, lol. |

White blocks you are getting bonuses for, yellow you are not.
The easiest one for me to identify because it translates raw are Industrial Ship bonuses. I know what each ship can carry and I am not getting the bonuses above level 1.
No, they are dormant skills. |

To the best of my understanding (And calculation): No, you don't get any benefits. It is as if you don't have the Omega-limited skills. |

What about if you have 300 orders up on the market, do these get cancelled when you change state from Omega to Alpha; or do they sell? |

I'm gonna guess that they stay on the market, but you cannot modify any orders until enough of your orders get completed to put you below the Alpha limit on how many you can have. |

Basically what happens when you go from Omega to an Alpha, from my understanding talking to our STAR Members
1. Ship restrictions come into play. If you are in space in a ship that an alpha can not use, you will be able to fly said ship until you dock. The ship modules will be offline. The ship bonuses will not be applied. Basically you are a toothless pinata.
2. All omega skills go dormant. Basically concord puts a block in your head and you lose access (but not the knowledge)
3. Implants that an Alpha can not use will provide no benefit to you.
4. All existing market orders stay up but you will not be able to create new ones until your open orders reach Alpha permitted levels.
Of course all this gets over ridden once you go back to Omega.
