Hi!
Can anyone tell me the benefit of the Micro Auxiliary Power Core compared to the Reactor Control Unit?
Reactor Control Unit raises the power core output - so I can fit more modules. But what does the Micro Auxiliary Power Core exactly do? It's info text ("Supplements the main Power core providing more power" and "power bonus = xx") gives me no clue...

Micro Auxiliary Power Core is used mostly in interceptors, for other ships power dio units and reactor controls are best :)

The reactor control unit gives +% to powergrid while micro auxiliary gives +xx fixed.
Look at the powergrid of your ship, if it is under 100 (frigate & destroyer types), it is better to fit a micro auxiliary power core because you will get +10 (or more with some named variations) while the +10% of a reactor control would be from +2 to +8 (on some destroyers maybe).

MAPCs add +10 to your powergrid
while Reactor controls and Power Diagnostics add 10% and 5%. so a reactor control will add 10% to 50 powergrid or 5 PG. While a MAPC will add a static +10 to it.
MAPCs are good on frigates/destroyers since they have less then 100 PG "10% of 100 is 10 so 100PG is break even point. While Reactor Controls and Power diagnostics are better on cruisers & larger since 10% of thier PG is much more then 10.

The MAPC adds +10 to your power grid, however, an important point to note is that static bonuses are applied before skills so with engineering lvl 5 you actaully get +12.5 boost to PG. Shield extenders and armor plates work the same way.
