Hi.
I was wondering if any1 except me has had this problem? For me it down loads, but when I get to the instalation part the PC tells me the file is corrupt or some ****.
All help appreciated!

Are you running any other hard drive intensive application at that time? Data stream corruption occurs sometimes when your HDD cant cope (usually sloow hard drives or outdated /damaged ones).
I have RAID and it happens to me sometimes allso. All I have to do is shut down every running program in the background and do nothing while some DVD installs (read it via virtual using image).
Or it could happen if your hard drive is heavily fragmented (and full at the same time).

I have also download the client today and at 45% of the way through unpacking resmusic.stuff it hangs and gives an error report about a corrupt instalation.
i have no background programs open and only the windows processes runnig.
i have tryed this with 3 different coppies of the client downlaoded separatly and they all return the same reults.
If anyone has a solution to this it would be greatly appreciated.

I frequently have this problem... even using a download manager... on large patch days I usually spend 8 to 10 hours before I FINALLY get the game to work. There used to be a section in Patches where you could download individual files that were giving you problems... alas it appears to be no more...

I also got a corrupt file error (indicating that the _download_ has an incorrect CRC) and tried to download the patch from the website. After running that, I get that the download was corrupt (same error) but also that my installation is corrupted.
So what else, re-download the client?
Long skilling time indeed!

A lot of onboard nic's have sh***y drivers, be sure that you update with the latest drivers for your motherboard.

this started for me about a week ago and i still haven't figured out how to log back in at first i couldnt even get the log in page and now it just says status unknown and when i try to log in it says connection to server closed. Anybody have any ideas? ive tried just about everything i could think of i've reinstalled about 6-7 times ive downloaded a pingplotter and that just says that 100% lost packet and no instructions on how to fix ive run 2 different virus protections and spyware removers turned off firewalls and still nothing. I dont realy want to reformat hd on this brand new comp just for a game and nothing else seems to be affected. by the way im running vista on it aswell please if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

I cant even launch the EVE_Setup.exe any more it just gives me a CRC error.
i coppied across a older version this morning form a different pc but on patching i also get a CRC error.
I tryed launching the client with the logging program running and it shows crtical errors within stdlib.ccp then just list CRC errors untill the application closes. 
No idea what wrong with it the only difference i can see is that i have installed zonelarm security suite.
