Easy fix is to select something in the overview and click show info, this makes the top window to come back down..... But i agree this should be fixed asap.

A lot of onboard nic's have sh***y drivers, be sure that you update with the latest drivers for your motherboard.

I would suggest that you buy a cooler for the gfx card e.g. Arctic cooler. Both my computers with 6800GT cards did reboot when playing EVE and the temperature was well within specs. I tried everything from reinstalling to driver updates and still ...
