Actually you are partially correct, the seller and I would not be able to have any cash change hands however I can buy GTCs and get iskies for them and then buy the character (not the account) and that is perfectly legit since CCP offers char transfers.
However, I don't forsee any of this happening anytime soon.

Originally by: juice clean Edited by: juice clean on 05/04/2007 22:47:23 trilori defaulted on a simple 342k deal. as of now i have a wardec on his corp in progress.
your goods should you place them with him are MINE. trust no one. a lesson i learned from trilori
First of all, we never agreed on a set price you said 50/50 loot split and I did that the loot came to approximately 176,000 isk I had only two items from loot and the rest were salvage items that I only had 1 or 2 of and sold and split and paid you 88,000 total. If I had known you wanted 342k I would have gladly paid but that wasn't the agreement, you can ask any of my former corpmates I have been fair and always will be.
Any items ordered by my clients will remain theirs and will be protected as necessary. At this time I am not accepting any orders, this NEWSRELEASE is a statement of my plans, not a statement that I am taking orders at this time.
I expect to issue a press release at a later date stating that I will begin limited order/delivery service hopefully to begin in May possibly late April.
One other thing Juice, get your Corp/Alliance ticker on your post will be deleted.

Hmmm...
A business run by a guy who needs help enabling his corp ticker? Who's haggling with someone about a deal totaling less than 1 mill?
No offense Trilori, but this isn't going to end well. You're probably better off making your way back out the forums. Try some high-sec mining/ratting for a year or two, and then maybe come back when you're more familiar with the way things operate around here.
I apologize if that sounded discouraging. Just meant to be some helpful advice.

Personally I don't really care what you think or say. I agree it is rather unusual to see a 1 month old with a corporation and an idea but there is nothing wrong with it and its never too early to get started and I've already begun paving the way for it.
And the deal you're referring to is full of baloney because there is no hard evidence so I wouldn't believe a thing that poster said because he has no ticker on his forum post (ISD please note this).
Lastly it's CCP's fault that they don't have the system in place to prevent posters who don't have their tickers turned on from posting (and this isn't hard to do, add some code to the forums) and they could have simply pointed out WHERE to find the settings which is un-noticably on the left menu bar.
Finally your kind of comment instigates hostility which I am calmly trying to avoid and finally is OFF TOPIC along with Mr Clean's post is OFF TOPIC also! GET BACK ON TOPIC please.

I believe he was only pointing out (correctly) that in order to make a plan like yours work, you will be required to trade on volumes of several hundred million isk at a minimum. A successful business is looking more like a few billions to support a fleet serious enough to outsource its requirements.
For someone in your position, you're making yourself look bad on two fronts. First, you're haggling over an ammount which needs to be so far below the radar in your business that it wouldn't even be described as pocket change. It indicates you may not have the mindset, experiences, or resources, to handle billion-isk orders. Second, you're getting upset at forum posters who aren't even flaming you, who are in fact offering constructive criticism with a pre-offered appology. What would happen should a real flamer intent on ****ing you off shows up I cannot say, but it doesn't speak well for the Impressive (capital I) social skills which would be required to run such a weapons supply business.
I wish you the best of luck, but you should have an eye to improving your reputation as much as possible, and with that in mind keep a lid on your anger, and start thinking much, much bigger.

*shakes head* have you ever heard of "small business" growing into "mega corporations" Yes I know exactly what you're talking about but its silly to start off big 2 years later with mega fleet support. I know this can work and WILL work, the plan right now is to deal with frigates and cruisers they will fit easily in one badger and of course I can hire haulers as needed for larger loads this is NOT a problem.
And for the last time, the "haggling" has NOTHING to do with my plans or this corporation. This idiot who posted with an ALT who happens to NOT have a ticker ON decided to make up his OWN terms after I had to leave for an appointment an hour away so please STOP confusing that with THIS.
Just because I don't have the skills doesn't mean I can't get anyone else to do it. It may have a high price tag, so what the customer will deal with it and if they don't like it then they don't have to buy.
I'm not getting upset over the fact that people think I should wait, like I said before I understand this is EXTREMELY rare and I don't see this corporation dealing with billions of isk anytime soon we're starting off small working out way out instead of buying multi-billion handful of stuff and crashing a joint in a week... no I plan to make peacemeal progress and have fun doing it and let others have fun doing business with me.
I certainly don't have a business mindset, sure I forsee some problems and I live with it and its ok its not perfect its a GAME!!!!!

This should really be in the market discussion forum I think, but some points for you.
------------------------------------------------------------
You supply prefitted frigates? Awesome, then I'd like to order 50 disposable tackle merlins, rifters, tristans and punishers, and 100 fighter-bomber vigils to stock my (hypothetical) outpost in 0.0.
Can you have them here in a week?
------------------------------------------------------------
If you are starting low-end, that's the sort of order you would be looking at.
That or say goonies ordering 200 disposable blackbirds.
And they are going to want them on relatively short notice.
Can you realistically supply those sorts of orders?

Not at this time, given time to build up the capital that may be a reality. Given the right tools, skills, etc I do not see why short notice and mass delivery would be impossible.
I could understand why this topic should be on the market discussion, however I thought it was more corporation related.
I have no idea how long it takes for someone who has maxed out their research skills and materials and production efficiency skills to build disposable attack frigates off the assembly line. Lets say that the least amount of time for any BPO frigates would take 30 minutes per run, by doing some calculations I was able to come up with 100 hours which would take approximately 4 to 5 days then just some time to do the run and would have to be relatively no more than 30-60 minutes to do the transport task because they'll want it relatively fast and safe.
My goal is once I have the necessary BPOs which have been purchased and the building materials, I will be able to determine how many can be built in a full 24hr cycle provided materials do not run out and then I will be able to base that information on what is possible until improvements can be made.

Wondering if a mod could move this thread? I agree it should be moved to market discussion.
Sorry I didn't see that channel before, I can't seem to figure out how to ask a mod but then again I understand why no PM option is available and they can't be reached ingame because we all know that they would get flooded with them.

I think this idea has potential, but you'll need lots of capital and very good setup for hauling large stuff, i.e. a Freighter.
I think this might be too much for a 1-man corp.
Just my two cents. -------------

Well first and foremost, I kinda wished people would stop saying things like "this is too much for a one man corp". I think its kind of obvious everyone already knows that including myself OTHERWISE I'd have said I planned to do it all myself.
Capital is definitely a must, but to build it I have start off small and start with something I can produce to build the capital.

Edited by: MasterDecoy on 10/04/2007 11:44:31 well, first off, i think it's a wonderful idea. it's one of those "could be great idea". i might very well be a client.
as it's been mentioned, if you could deliver the smaller T2 ships (especially interceptors) or bigger ships like battlecruiser safely, i'd be right there with you. i don't deal with smaller boats other than interceptors.
here's a question: how do you intend on supplying 0.0 regions with their ubiquitous, camped bottleneck systems?
and what happens if, hypothetically, you are on your way to deliver some supplies in 0.0 and get blown up on the way (**** happens innit), what happens? do you take the loss or do i take the loss?
and why don't you just buy the things you can't produce yourself?
nevertheless, i still think you should write a proper proposal to make sure that everyone understand your idea.
cheers

As you obviously noticed I threw this out there, when I have more details and information I will rewrite a better proposal in the Marketing forum.
Deliveries to 0.0 will need to be made in something with lots of defense and lots of cargo space. Meaning: carrier. I'm aware that my carrier MAY not make it through, there is that risk/possibility.
Your question about loss due to combat would depend on several factors. One if the materials were harvested directly by my corporation and no iskies was used to obtain materials for a particular order/build.
This part hasn't been thought out thoroughly because there are options and factors that need to be considered. If lets say you had someone supply me YOUR materials we would most likely have to pay you average market value and refund additional iskies for services that were never rendered (nondelivery)
There are many ways to replace lost, whether it be returning iskies or replacing exact amount of whatever resource was lost. The other way to do it is, we would go back to square one do rebuilds return the portion of iskies that relate to the service charges (delivery fee, storage fee, etc) we would only bill you for the actual items (or a portion of it) and make another delivery attempt.
These are all ideas, they are not final and will be based on how well this will work. I don't see any reason why a customer has to absorb any if not all of the costs of a loss (there are exceptions, friendly fire would negate this of course).
I definetely will plan on having T2 products available, it will be some time before that can begin as I am currently in the process of securing capital to increase this process.

Due to Escalating tensions from matters ingame, this corporation has begun exit proceedures and will be releasing all members within 24hrs.
This exit proceedure is being made despite obtaining 340 million isk this morning to begin paving way for BPO purchases to begin the ideas I had wanted to fulfill.
I will still be fulfilling my ideas but at a much longer pace than planned and it will be run by myself with the assistance of a friendly corp I hang out with.
No future plans to open a new corporation has been made nor will be discussed for my own protection and the rest of the new players in my corporation which is mainly why the doors are closing.
Feel free to comment ingame and on the forums.
