GearBox Fleet Svc to provide a unique approach to providing fleet services such as ship replacement, upgrades and delivery. GBFS will enter into agreements with individuals and corporations to fulfill orders based on customer needs.
We will offer a variety of ships, equipment, and ammunition in order to accommodate customer needs. GBFS will have its backbones on Original Blueprints whenever available to streamline production cost and timeliness.
These services are being offered to customers who would like ease of mind and time savings that a ship fully fitted ready to be delivered at a moment's notice can get them back in flight in a reasonable time frame so they can be on their way again. This is especially important for warring corporations who need a production backbone so they can focus on the war fronts and have a peace of mind that additional resources are available as needed and can be readily delivered to warzones with everything a pilot will need when they jump back into their ships to curb their enemies.
Now I'm sure you are going to have questions about why and how. Why am I doing this? Because its an excellent way to continue to stimulate the economy and provide an influx of iskies and raw materials at the same time providing interaction with many players for years to come. The next question is, how is a one month old player going to have enough capital to harness this idea? The idea is time=money the earlier I get on this the sooner the corporation will have funds to continue to provide more services and a variety of products.
An example of how this would work:
Scenario A:
You are on a ratting mission, you lose your ship, you tell us you need a ship at xx system. We'll locate your assets that were previously built/configured per prior arrangement and we'll transport your replacement to you within a reasonable time frame and everything will be transferred to you so you can get back into the battle immediately.
Scenario B:
Your corporation is about to go to war, you need xx number of ships built pre-war and will expect xx number needed during war time and expect delivery during this time. We would produce your needed supply of ships before and during and of course after the war so that your proud, honorable and weary pilots can return home safely in the comfort of a ship capable of defending themselves all the way home with a peace of mind.
With these plans in mind, we are offering spring cleaning service from now until May 31st. Do you have cheap junk you no longer want? Want to get rid of hangar clutter? We will haul away your stuff, the materials gained from this spring clean up project will provide us resources to begin servicing customers.
We at this time are in the planning and procurement stage, we have obtained 6 caldari frigate BPOs and 1 tractor BPO at this time and will be offering a full line of additional racial frigates, cruisers and destroyers.
First Appearance of these services should begin as early as the beginning of May. We have plans for additional offices to strategically place our customers' assets appropriately based on their needs.
If you have any questions or comments please evemail me or reply here. I look forward to a new future

Seems like an interesting concept, but define "a reasonable timeframe". I, for one, don't want to wait long perdiods of time for a replacement ship when not in a theater near my home.
Also, how do you propose delivering a ship in a warzone?

I realize I don't have all the answers just yet, but experimenting and trial and error will be the only way to know for sure.
Your question about delivering a ship to a war zone is a tricky one (not the question itself, the situation). Some ideas I have are ships would be delivered to a safe station that your troops would be using to resupply/re-arm.
I understand that "reasonable time" is ambiguous , it will be refined once I know the capabilities of my corporation and contacts I have available. A 24hr wait is unacceptable I would not tolerate such, since I will be on majority of the time for the next few months right now its a hard guess but say you were 10-15 jumps away I would say max 20-40 minutes depending on what the conditions are because lag can affect transit time somewhat.
I will need to do a trial run with an actual loaded ship and fittings to be delivered and will do this on a regular basis regardless of current orders that way this will allow me to determine how feasisable it would be and what additional support would be needed to complete the job effectively and professionally.
Also to your additional concern about timeliness of replacements at the war front, I would have to prepare a crew somewhat relatively in advance again this is also something that would have to be refined on an ongoing basis.
Delivering ships right in the middle of the war zone would not be easy to protect nor would it be practical in a tactical situation necessarily so this again would mean detailed coordination with the corporations needing resupply.
I appreciate your interest and questions that you have as this gives me a way to brainstorm ideas and options.

I will give you an example of a troublesome situation for a warfighter that happened to me recently: fighting alongside our FIX allies in Querious, my Harbinger was destroyed. Given that 3-F (the 0.0 chokepoint) is camped almost 23/7, and that the regional markets made it impossible to replace the ship in a pratical manner (given that flying alone, collecting the parts for a ship in Querious is a surefire way to get killed), I was forced to come up with a sub-par ship of a completely different class.
Now, if you could somehow manage to bring a replacement ship at the heart of the theater of op, that would be worth a nice premium. The problems you'd encounter are numerous, however. Among others:
-How do you make it past the gatecamp? -How do you evade the roaming gangs? -How do you ensure you can meet with the buyer at all? -How do you manage to turn a profit while still keeping within reasonable prices? i.e. how do you balance risk vs. reward ('cause there will be a LOT of risk).
These are just some of the hurdles that come with your business proposition (unless I misunderstood something).
The simplest way would be to either A) claim and exhibit total neutrality and endeavour to get a "blue" standing with everyone, which won't be easy or B) when the tactical situation favors it, sneak in the ships in positions of easy access so they may be remotely contracted to the buyer.
Anyways, just a few things to think about. Good luck!

It's a very interesting concept, Trilori, but I suggest starting out by delivering gear, maybe hard-to-get fittings, to peaceful systems first. I can think of several times that I've have paid handsomely for someone to bring me a cloak or tech II drone overnight, while I slept. Say, perhaps, that I lost a ship and fittings in battle and would have liked to go straight back to what I was doing the next day. Maybe the closest Hammerhead II or whatever was 12 jumps away or something. You could do the work and save me time. There are circumstances in which I'd pay a premium for that service.
Good luck.

Thanks for your excellent replies :) You certainly bring up every concern I already have when it comes to dealing with lowsec/0.0 territories. You're right I'd need to go blue to just about every alliance/corporation in the entire galaxy literally.
Remote contracting is/will be possible but I'd still need to be in range to you and still poses more problems for YOU as a pilot. I'm not familiar with the area you mentioned in your above post, however lets say your ship is destroyed you dock at a random station within the system if you make it alive without getting podded. The question will be, IF I can make it in how do I get it to you even if I can remotely contract it to you; how do you get to it alive? You might as well go scour all the parts if you have to go run for your life across the system to another station.
Supplying ships and ammo to one corp/alliance while supplying the enemy doesn't sound like something your corp would want if it happens to be so that both your corp and the enemy corp is my customer I'm not there to get intel or tell you how many ships they got, same with your corp no information is passed I'm only in/out nothing more (unless I'm buying/selling on the market in that system).
I'd have to run some experiments "mock war zone" areas and see how realistic it is to get in and out etc etc.

Delivery to the friendly systems is going to be obviously my first choice as it'll be easier to work in and not have to worry about major risks as one of the previous poster above you said, having to haul say a raven down to him would mean that he would have to pay for market value of the raven and market value of every fitting he wants for it THEN on top of that there's the delivery/protection fee which can get HEFTY and I don't necessarily think that is a cost effective manner for my customer nor for me because if I lose it all I end up reimbursing the customer or supplying the customer with 2 ships instead of 1 to replace the non delivery.
Right now my goal for the next 30 days is to obtain as many BPOs and contacts I can get that can support this whole operation whether its having members or outside contacts.

sounds like a great idea and good luck. I would very strongly encorage you to deliver your good to the nearest .4 system to start with then possible work inward as you feel you can, without risk. thats the safest way to keep your items safe. Also be aware of retards like the privateers who have like 2 mil war decs at once that might hinder your operations.

I appreciate your comments and encouragements :) I think this is a great idea and worth making EVE something to play for. I'm fairly aware of the privateers and understand they can be devastating. The question would be how in the world can they afford to finance 50m/weekly wardecs :P
I would reasonably do .4 systems maybe .3 depending on traffic however customers aren't going to want to wait until traffic clears either eventually that will not be an issue.
I have been through some quiet .2 .3 .4 systems yesterday and some pretty busy ones too surprisingly. But I won't make it a habit going that far down regularly just yet.

from my understanding and im sure if im wrong one of them will be along soon to correct me. the privateers have their member corps pay for a new war each week as the alliance fee. CCP REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY you get the point, needs to limit the number of war decs that can be make by any/every cop/alliance. that has been posted more times than i can count. maybe someday they will see it as a EXPLOIT like we all do.

Now thats a good idea, limit the wardecs I'm surprised a corp would ask or require its members to finance the wars because the corp should be doing that from its own account on its own and if they can't properly build the finances to go to war then you don't deserve to go to war.
I don't know a lot about wardecs and corps but I know enough to say that is my fair opinion.

In a perfect situation, it would be a nice profit. I don't know whether to say fortunately or unfortunately, due to other factors such privateers and other Alliances/corps would have issues with this they may not like my corporation doing business in their territories or even servicing their enemies.
My goal is to service anyone regardless of what their relations are between other corps. We would remain in a neutrality stance because we are a service provider not a warring corp and that goes to say that doesn't guarantee that there won't be any losses.

a carrier jump seems like the best way to get by camps and such. just use a force recon cruiser, cruiser cov-ops, to get by then safespot in a pre- arranged system jump your carrier(s) in and dispense the goods. of course you would need a mothership to sell BS's. but battle cruiser and below will fit into a carrier.

I never thought about carriers and motherships, I have read the market descriptions about the carriers and it wasn't clear to me that you could haul battlecruisers in them.
Someone even suggested I buy a character with this capability and we're talking about a few hundred dollars if not in the thousands of real money because that means the character is at least 3-5 years old.
This would be realistically possible in the future, I plan to build the operations first the goal is to get the community interested in understanding how it would operate. I don't know if this has ever been done before, so experimentation is required thus having a carrier capable character would be a waste at this point.
As to the above quote, that is also another service I already had in mind was to offer routine ship production to corps who routinely need ships either to distribute to new members as they join or to have a stockpile ready to go as war readiness.
My goal is to get all the frigates (not the advanced frigates) destroyers, cruisers then get into the advanced frigates and so on thats my first reasonable goals for the next 6 months.
Heck I see this as a benefit to newbies who aren't sure what should be fitted, this would work for newbies provided they meet all the skill requirements to fit all the reasonable mods and the ship they desire. We are not going to put "civilian shields" on the ships... they are just underrated we will only put on not necessarily the best or the weakest but what everyone would generally use. Additionally customers have the option of omitting certain mods or substituting them as needed.

Originally by: Trilori My goal is to get all the frigates (not the advanced frigates) destroyers, cruisers then get into the advanced frigates and so on thats my first reasonable goals for the next 6 months.
A suggestion: don't endeavour to have ALL the bpos; stick with the popular ones, and supplement that with BPCs for the less popular ships. Also, set your sights higher: people rarelly fly T1 frigs (interceptors are the norm for tackling) and no one really flies destroyers in PvP. Cruisers are more common, but still, the majority of PvP forces are composed of Battlecruisers, Battleships and HACs (the ones I've flown with, anyhow).
Knowing this, I'd suggest you set your sights on getting some tier 2 BC (Drake, Harbinger, Hurricane and Myrmidon) BPCs first, and try to get your hands on BPOs. At the same time, have a look at Invention. HACs are worth a fortune, so there's good money to be made replacing them when they go poof.
Reason why I mention those is because BCs/HACs are very popular for roaming gangs, and replacing them could provide some steady income as large fleet battles (in which BSes take the center stage) aren't as common as roaming gangs. Thus, people lose them at a steadier pace than they lose BSes (in my experience, anyways). On the other hand, when BSes go boom, there's usually quite a few that go boom at the same time, but BS bpos are much more expensive than BC ones, so it will be a while before you can reasonably acquire them.
Anyways, I hope that makes some sort of sense... I've had a few beers

I like to see something new - Im sure you will Iron out the problems.
If peeps die in a mission, and are short of time / are peed off. Firing a mail off to you with an order for a ship and fitting and having it contracted to them in their mission station when they next log on seems very attractive. No more farting about on the market. Looking at the market yo usee people will often pay well over the odds for a module to avoid making just one or two jumps. Also some peeps cant get into higher sec space, and this will save them fartign around with alts

Hi Skunk :)
I agree the logistics of galaxywide services would be a nightmare, if not impossible but its worth putting that there to show the big picture if all else fails we'll have to scale down to whatever is manageable or setup a duplicate corporation on the other side of the galaxy that can manage that side of the logistics.
I don't know what is possible and isn't, I'm sure a corporation is only going to be able to go so far before it becomes a logistical problem so if you have two corps then at least the logistics is more spread out and easier to manage the load.
