I have two EVE accounts and the oddest thing is happening. On this account, after playing for 5-10 min I get disconnected at a seemingly random amount of time. Sometimes it occurs immediately after the 5-10 min mark, and sometimes I can play for an hour after the 5-10 min mark. Here is the odd part. My second account does not have this problem, I can play all day. It is running off the same install and (AFAIK) the same settings.
What is going on?

HAve had the same problem tonight, random disconnects for no apparant reason. Never had them before now, and nothing has changed. Maybe its just node glitch I hope. .....

I have the exact same problem: 2 accounts, 2 clients running from the same installation. One of the accounts - playtime is unlimited; on the second one (always the same one) - I get disconnected after some random amount of time, regardless of whether I'm doing something or the account is just running in the background.
As far as I can remember - this started happening after one of the recent patches (either 1.4 or 1.3)
Devs - if you need further information, I can do some testing; the conditions that come to mind are: - time after which the disconnect happens - order of executing clients and logging in to game - which client is visible on screen - whether client(s) is windowed or fullscreen - activity in game (in station/in space; afk or not; etc) - anyone can think of others?

I haven't been able to play since the March 20th 3.14.30636 patch. I was hoping this patch would have a fix but it didn't help. I'm still constantly crashing. Everything was stable before, the only thing that changed was eve's patch. Did the petition, checked drivers, fresh install of eve etc. My petition response was basically "update your drivers"...I haven't had help from them since.

I have had the same issues starting with the 'need for speed' patch. Before the patch I may have gotten 1-2 crash per month. Post patch I was getting 3-4 a day. The way I solved it was I just do a complete eve re-install *note I ended up doing a complete OS wip. Now it works fine.

I've been getting it more recently as well. At first I just thought it was some kind of AFK timer booting idle clients, but more recently I get them when I'm in the middle of doing things (activating modules, jumping etc).
It's fairly random and never effects both clients at the same time.

I'm having the same issue. I also thought it was jumping gates that was causing it, but I see now it's just random. I didn't have this issue until after yesterdays emergency shutdown. I've cleared the cache, which didn't help. I uninstalled, and reinstalled EVE, which also didn't help. Can we get some sort of reply on whats going on here?

Same event is going on here. I get on and within 2 mins the client disconect or just plain crashes. Ive disabled sound, re installed driers, scanned for viri, and installed my old video card just to see if the new one was tweeked, re-installed eve and also tested direct-x.. I would have thought it was just this computer till i noticed that other were having the same prob as myself. Also, yes, it started about 2 patches ago......... who knows??? |

Their networc cone really needs some work tbh. LOL Seems soo touchy or demmanding.
Look up after other games out there whos main issue is LAG for petes sake, not disconnects.
Im noticing many people have this issue. The problem is, the causes are not all the same and sollution cannot be the same. Thus making a real problem for them to pin it down (analyse what the prob is).
