Hey guys, playing EVE for many years, but had a one year break lately, wanted to play again and found out that we have alphas now.
So i'm an old omega with alpha account atm.
And wanted to play a bit as an alpha.
And i wanted to get an advice from you guys, about fitting my Gnosis (i'm Gallente) for good PVE and PVP fit?

Well, PVE and PVP are probably going to be mutually exclusive, so you are looking for different fits.
The thing about the gnosis with slot layout and bonuses is that you can just fit it to whatever your strengths are, and if you are coming back as an alpha those are already defined for you.
It's a bit of an oddball ship really, you never know how one is fit compared to say an Ishtar, you know it's going to be drones and usually armour rep.
I like my triple rep armour HAM Gnosis :)
I spent some time a while back looking at Gnosis losses on zkillboard (you can filter on ship name) and there are so many different fits.
Because it is such a swiss army knife of a ship it doesn't excel at anything, you might find that e.g. Gallente alphas could get more dps out of a Vexor Navy Issue, but with Ghost Fitting you can now play around with ship fits ingame instead of having to use an out of game tool like EFT. |

So as i understand, its kinda universal ship =)
The thing is that i never tried this ship for real action. i always used is something like a "eye candy" riding it in high secs)
But now i can see that its really nice ship for an alpha clone.
all I want is to earn enough money for omega and then i can get in my stronger fitted ships and earn some really big money.
At least i need to find some good PVE fit.
PVP can wait till i get an Omega clone =) |

I am just back into game with the alpha clone, too. I am not very familiar with this ship but I have experience with kiting dominix so would like to try a kiting gonsis. Since we don't have sentry anymore I try to build up a railguns based ship fighting in range around 50kms with shield defence. It looks like below.
