It's not possible. If you create a contract and fill in both fields, it calculates the difference and places it either as receive or give and sets the other field to zero. ___________ Muuuhhh !!! |

In the public contracts, you cannot receive money and an items. If you try a message appears: "It's just rude to....
but in the private contracts, you can actually ask for an item, money and give nothing in return. Now, for sure, this is not fair. This option only exist for scammers.

CAVEAT EMPTOR.
All else is needless words.

Just stay alert and you cannot be scammed unless someone is exploiting broken mechanics or whatever, and whilst i recommended looking at the forums for reports of such things, it's not your responsibility to do so.
And scamming in eve is not comparable, in any way, shape or form, to real life, it's just not.

This is ridiculous, if no one gets banned while doing this, it means some people make money of the work of others. This is a game not real life.
Is there anything we can do? Or CCP won't ever lift a finger.
Just think of it as intellectual PvP.

Tell you what, let's pool all our assets and flip a coin to see who gets the whole thing... heads I win, tails you lose.
Deal?

It's sure damn convenient to transfer assets to an alt.

No CCP will not do anything, and there are things you can do such as scam them back, or kill them, war dec them.
I dont scam people but im never going to stand up for people who want to remove it from the game, stealing things is totally part of the game and the way lots of people make their living.
No you can't scam or wardec them back. They do these things on recyclable alts so there is no comeback. We recently got wardec'd by a single character in a corp. He tried to extort money from us, but he was only an alt. We camped his station and refused to pay. He lost interest, but we still can't get back at the real person who did it becuase theres no way to find who his main is.
Remove all alts I say. Use your mains or you don't get to play.

My advice to help yourself not get scammed, or at least reduce the chance by a lot.
1. Go to the contracts tab 2. look at a lot of the high end auctions and the stuff where you see a lot of attempted scams 3. Actively search for scammers 4. Block each and every one of them you see.
By doing this now, instead of just going to the contract page when you wanna buy something, you got a great opportunity to block a lot of scammers when you are not at risk (since you don't intend to buy anything at that time). -------------- In completely unrelated news, after careful research, the Guiding Hand Social Club concludes that no member of the Guiding Hand Social Club is guilty of corptheft. |

Eliminate alts, and you still have multiple account users.
CCP didn't make it hard to figure out how old a character is. As was said before - a day old alt should be the first red flag that something's not right, but no character save your own alt should be blindly trusted that you would sign a contract without reading it.
BTW, to those too quick to flame, the OP didn't fall for it, he's just complaining mainly that there's no real way to reprise since it's not against the rules and you can't trace the alt back to real assets.

Multiple accounts are not a problem. You don't deal with anyone under 10 days and if they are over that then they are a payign customer so have the right to scam. The problems are when it's done on disposable alts to prevent any comeback.
