I mean cmon, it's been like 3 or 4 years now...
yes yes I know, never use autopilot, we are all leet and never use it....
I don't care, if it's not meant to jump me trough gates untill I arrive at my desto then why is it still a feature and why is it called autopilot? If it is meant to do that, why are devs taking years to fix it? Or do they have better things to do, like tank simulators and failed fps games for playstation?
edit: or are things like that a reminder why I unsubbed the last time and a message saying that I should switch to one of those afforementioned tank or fps games ? |

Aww please. Set autopilot to the a system that's on the other side of highsec and go make dinner. When you are back, see if you've reached your destination.
It is likely that somwhere along the way you will get stuck on a gate, autopilot remains active but ship is neither moving or jumping the gate. The only way to get 'unstuck' is to turn the autopilot off and activate it again or manually jump yourself.
It seems to do that at random times, sometimes twice within 10 jumps, sometimes not at all for 30 jumps. It happens often enough to be a drag and make me rant here |

A bios update and a new driver fixed that. As far as I'm concerned, this is a network issue.
Actually I hadn't considered that... You might be right... will test with my mobile isp |

thanx for the responses guys, I'm over it now... It's not like it happens all the time, I guess I'll wait till it happens again and keep track of the conditions that might be related to it e.g. how many screens I'm using and what the load on network/hardware is.
But yeah, it does happen to me regularily enough to be noticable and regardless of whether I'm using my laptop or pc... It did randomly start occuring after one of the patches a few years back. I saw a couple of threads on this already but they were largely full of 'just don't rely on autopilot noob' posts.
Might update if this thread is still open next time I get stuck.

meh I only AP in shuttles or pods, not a freighter so waste your time the way you like to <3
When you get poded out of a wormhole for instance, and the current entry is 40 jumps away from your spawn station... why wouldn't you autopilot ? |
