So you are saying that if I had a pirate alt, a miner alt (PC Corp) and a 0.0 alliance stooge and I ganked someone in lowsec with my pirate you want to gank my miner in retaliation or war dec her corp? And if they have never met each other or traded ISK or even live in different regions or faction's space?
CCP decided they liked the idea of scamming and hasn't curtailed it. Hence its not the ALTs' fault, its CCP's fault. If you aren't happy about it, then propose mechanic changes that don't hinder other people's LEGITIMATE enjoyment of the game.

True. If you're talking about multiple accounts - how do you tell someone with two accounts from two people who play EVE and live in the same place?

you still havent answered my question why I dont have the right to an alt, why I have to pay for another account to try a different character past the trial stages.
all the negative things youve stated can and are done by people with multiple accounts, why are you trying to limit the play of the people who ARENT fanatic bout eve?
is it because you are really bad at using your own alts ?
miners-you can: switch, rob, wardec, nerf, scam them, buy below market, pirate them on their way to sell. mining < trading, ratting, manufacturing from market bought minerals,they still wont go away |

Those above changes would instantly stop the majority of scams where there's no comeback. I've no problems with scams, wardecs and other unsavory things players do in EVE, but I'm totally against all forms of anonymity. You do the crime, we get to find you and give you some payback.
The only other alternative is allow us to pay Locator agents to find ALL characters on the account and not just the one we are seeking.
Alts should be people too, not in the current form where they are disposable puppets for their mains.
Fine lets start with the ALT Elgar Lightfoot. Him being the alt of a person.
What happen some alt mess with you in game?
Free-form Professions, ensure no limetations on professions. Be a trader, fighter, industialist, researcher, hunter pirate or mixture of them all.

Check my details in game, I'm no alt. Other than to my RL identity. Sort of like Clark Kent I guess .
As to your question, yes I have in the past been the target of Alt abuse. As has probably just about every person that plays EVE. Probably the best reason to ask for some form of accountability for alts.

but yeah, bad idea, doesnt stop people with more than 1 account.. (me)...
and besides, push scammers, and they will invent something more creative...
so way to stop them... really...
(yeah yeah, you can stop them, but it would limit the freedom in eve while you do that.)

I was on my way to Obe from 0.0 getting ready to run the Hydra gate camp. And you know what I saw when I jumped in after I cloaked? A trial account named cloud girl warping in at 300km to see what came in the gate.. . Seriously W.T.F!?
