Kinda being screwed over by some advice I got when I first started playing like 10+ years ago. I wanted to make a new character because my first character was Minmatar so I could use a Raven and do missions with missiles as I was told they are better for missions and was advised to just cross train instead.
Stopped plaing so many times that i'm still fairly new despite the accounts age haha.
Thing is now my Minmatar character has the skills for a Raven and T2 missiles and drones and all that but can't fly anything above frigate from Minmatar. Hes also a miner that can use Hulk and all that but 0 skill in mining frigate.
Character is basically useless as an Alpha clone with 3.5 mil SP because because my other 30 mil is in Omega skills.
Can't afford a sub right now. |

You could always run a new alpha, do the new Npe and such.

The advice was valid when it was given. The game has changed much since then. Id recommend starting a Gallente or Caldari character and doing the NPE, career agents, sisters of eve arc, etc. Alll the usual stuff.
Drones and missiles are where its at right now now. And the vexor is king of alpha PVE imo.

Well, what matter here is do you want to work on your character's rep or not. If the character's rep doesn't matter, then the next thing to consider is what race do you like the most cruiser and below. Mining frigate 0 is no big deal, you can be up and running in a venture in 15 mins or so, if you like mining.
Right now, since it costs nothing, I'd just have your old character train something. Then make a new account to enjoy the new-NPE, it gives you an 80k sp skill injector on top of base SP you start with. Or even better you can start the new account with an omega invite, this gives you an extra 250k sp to your new account. If you do, I suggest not spending the extra sp until after the tutorial. People can't seem to use the injector if they already spent the 250k on themselves.

Just play a new alpha. Use someone's referral to get extra 250k extra sp in your new account.
