Any tips on iteron fits? I was told about mwd/cloak trick which I have learned and saw videos of. Is this the best method for my purpose?
Purpose: Transport modules and maybe a few frigs to near FW space to resupply a FW toon which i started recently.
Thanks in advance |

Or use a destroyer with cargo expanders.
Thrasher would be ideal as people expect that you are a ganker instead of a hauler. |

You don't haul 100M of stuff in an iteron. Period. |

the killboard says you lost over 467mil, not mere 100mil, 400 of which dropped. and you had a skill extractor in it. carrying that in a completely untanked hauler, not a single medium slot filled, is screaming GANK ME. a tornado alphas about 12k of mostly EM damage. make sure you can survive that shot. it is not that hard - EM resists and shield extenders. you had none. |

I have free time today, so... putting a DCU, 2 EM hardeners and 2 medium shield extenders, all tech 2, gives you over 17k effective HP. your fit had less than 3k. there. now, dont let me catch you getting caught again |

Iterons are OK for running level 4 distribution missions but not much else. Nereus is generally a better choice for low value hauling. If you are hauling high value in dangerous space, invest a month training transports - Viator and Occator. |

I think one of the best T1 haulers is the Minmatar Wreathe. It's dead cheap, aligns fast and can be easily tanked:
For Highsec:
Medium Slots: EM Ward Amplifier II (or the Meta-version if you haven't got the skill) Pithum C-Type Thermal Dissipation Amplifier (around 2M in Jita, sometimes cheaper) Pithum C-Type Kinetic Deflection Amplifier (around 1M in Jita) 2 x Large F-S9 Regolith Compact Shield Extender
Low Slots: Damage Control II 2 x Inertia Stabilizer II 2 x Warp Core Stabilizer I
This Fitting should survive up to two volleys of a Tornado. And I think most Tornado-Gankers can only deliver one volley before you enter warp.
For Lowsec:
High Slots: Improved Cloaking Device II
Medium Slots: 50 MN Cold-Gas Enduring Microwarpdrive EM Ward Amplifier II EM Ward Amplifier II Pithum C-Type Thermal Dissipation Amplifier Pithum C-Type Kinetic Deflection Amplifier
Low Slots: 2 x Inertia II 1 x Nano 2 x Warp Core Stab I
Using the MWD+Cloak trick should bring you through most Gatecamps in Lowsec (not in Null!). But beware station camps, be sure to have Instadock- and Undock-Bookmarks for the stations you use. If you undock and there are pirates outside of the station and you don't have an Undock-Bookmark, stop your ship, wait a few seconds for the session change timer and dock again. You should be invulnerable until then.
And most important: Don't transport stuff like PLEX oder Skill Injectors. Move the pilot to the PLEX! Even if you are in FW, you can always fly with your pod. The faction police don't attack pods. |

The Lowsec-Fitting is called a "Cloak Tank", meaning you have to rely on your cloak and fast align. There is no point in using big shield extenders in Lowsec. Shield Extenders increase your signature radius and allow faster locking on you. And Locked=Dead in Lowsec.
Be sure to practice the Cloak+MWD trick, because sometimes the Cloak can't be activated directly after hitting "Align". I think this happens when you hit Align and Cloak in the same "servertick". And remember that the Cloak can't be activated if something is within 2.000 m of your ship. I think some gatecampers will try to uncloak you with drones or by littering stuff around the gate.
Also beware station camps in Lowsec, be sure to have Instadock- and Undock-Bookmarks for the stations you use. Whoa wonderful!
And I have to rephrase you mentioned "The faction police don't attack pods." wow never knew that, so I can go to Jita always with a pod to buy PLEX's and such? |

As far as I know, yes. The same should be true if your security rating falls below -5.0. NPC tend to leave your pod alone, maybe with a few rare exceptions like sleepers? Not really sure about that.
When you dock up in a station with your pod and don't have a ship there, the global insurance will also give you a free rookie ship
I'm also not an expert regarding all different aspects of gatecamps, so take my informations with care, or maybe someone who is can correct me?
And be careful in Lowsec with your pod if you have expensive implants in your head. Pods are almost impossible to lock because of their tiny signature and instant align, but some gatecamps might use smartbombs on the outgoing gates.
But as you are in FW, I don't think you're using expensive implants anyway, right?
Another option is to use Jump Clones, but you can only jump once a day, or once every 20 hours if you train the Infomorph Synchronizing skill. |

Faction police won't go after a pod. But other militia members sure will. If your in FW I suggest using a local trade hub on your side of the war zone. Will be much safer and rhe price difference for things like plex are pretty miniscule |

One of things I suggest you do, aside from getting a better ship, is to utilize the chat.
If you see ANYONE with a orange, or a red signature do not undock in anything you are worried about losing. They are criminals, have already killed someone, and won't hesitate to shoot you if they think it's worth their time. Instead stay docked until they get bored and go away, or call out to your fellow corp mates to come and chase them off.
Also watch for a red - in their names. Your corp/alliance probably put that there to mark them as potential bads. Usually corps won't mark someone as bad standing if they havne't dont anything to warrant it. They aren't as scary as reds, or oranges, but they are still potential threats. Undock at your disgression.
I commit the sin of transporting with an iti some shield, and a damage control unit but I make sure to always take one of my alts with me armed for bear. I send the alt through first, scan the chat, and then book it to the next gate. Every time a criminal has seen my escort they've buggered off because they need time to get their kill in before the concord blows em up. Even a crap missile cruiser is going to mess with that timing.
I say this because you mentioned you had an alt of some kind. That is a gauranteed escort right there. So yeah, lead with your alt, scan the chat before undocking/jumping, and if anyone bad shows up warp onto the station and dock up. |
