Hi!
I was wondering whether I could just fly some industrial ship to my pos and eject inside the bubble, and use it as a kind of container. Do unpiloted ships disappear after a while? Can I access their cargohold without actually flying them?
Thanks a lot! |

Yes, you just have to board that ship when u want to access the cargo bay.

For a small amount of storage that might be fine, but it would take hundreds of bestowers to hold what one corporate hangar array can hold, so even for a reasonable amount of fuel reserve, the hangar array is more convenient and cheaper.

Also I can add that a corperate hangar array only adds about 400k isk to the weekly fuel bill, so its really not worth fiddling with other options.

Your forgetting 1 critical flaw in your plan:
Spatial Drift.
Last time i "parked" a retriever in my POS shields i came back the other day finding it 150KM !!!! outside the shield ...
Takes a while to get there in a pod.

Are you sure? Because I have had my retriever outside the hanger at my POS (cause I was lazy) for 3 or 4 days and it didn't move... Maybe mine is the weird one?

Well .. there are funny movies about ppl "loosing" there carriers cause they got it bumped out of the shields :)
Most likely i exitted my Retriever while it was not perfectly still and was moving at such a slow rate it got out that way .. i dunno.
The fact is it was about 150km outside. I just suggested NOT to take the risk.

Make sure youre not moving when you eject and make sure nobody bumps it. Ships who are not moving will not start moving on their own. -----

Make sure you have access to the POS without needing a password (corp or alliance is checked), otherwise it will get launched out of the shield after DT when the ship's password resets.
