Lately, I've been feeling quite bored when I logon. I love EVE, but it just seems things I'm doing at the moment take forever to happen ingame - so there's "nothing" todo atm. Skills that take well over a week(*X) to finish, empire research slots that take a good 30 days just to get started on the actual research...
I was part of a group in 0.0 about 6 months ago, but retired to empire after been in constant pvp and 6+ hour marathon ops for weeks on out. So in empire I started missiong whoring and it was fun for a while. Now I got a pile of bpo's cooking for my plunge into supplying my (future) corp with items and perhaps do some trading and what not.
Having been in empire this long is seriously giving me some PVP withdrawals. I would love to blow up some people, but I'm playing with a group of friends who have relatively new characters and they are not so much into pvp - yet.
All this, but I still feel everything is just happening in slow motion when I log on. Mabe I'm just not in the right crowd. What should I do to spice up my EVE experience? |

But, seriously - anyone willing to give me some tips on what I could do to get things more lively in EVE? |

This is a huge problem for Eve and one that CCP should take very seriously. They've got a game that people will log into and hang around in even when bored out of their skulls.
The idea that I like the most is the mini games that people keep asking for. Also an arena isn't a half bad idea. Some way of watching races and duels between players.
I'm in exactly the same place as you are. 25 days until skill completion. Stuck in empire camped by little red stars.
Log in. Chat a few minutes. Log out. Play Starcraft...

First off, what do you find fun in eve?
secondly, try and cenralize all your assets around you 'fun place' or get jump clones to cut out the monotany.
If you have BPO's why not set your sights on getting a POS up (and pray to the gods that you don't get the fracking bug where you corp standings don't increase. /me waits impatiently)
There is a lot to do in eve such as hacking/archeology exploration missions corp scamming (not tried that myself) mining PVP Manu R&D Invention
Unfortunately missions, hacking/archeology is pretty much the same thing. Yuo just need a better tank for arcsal.

I am sorry but i dont understand this concept of not playing the game cause one has a long skill training - you still have the abilities to operate ships, and I also suspect that if you where to leave empire your skill wouldn'd stop training
It's just a game........Or is it?????

Have you tried out to steal loot from the privateers yet?
I heard its fun.

You're right. I could do that. It would just mean braving the privateers, two notorious gate camps and about 20 jumps of 0.0 to get back to my ratting ship. All with my head full of some very expensive implants.

I think every game I have ever played that has happened at one time or another. YOU can only do the same thing so many times before it gets old. Sometimes I log in and just don't feel like doing anything so I sit and talk in local or with friends or whatever.
THe following things I have done just because I could even if for a day just to see what happens.
RAT MINE PVP TRADE PIRATE FROM NPC's (Yes those couriers & NPC's haulers can be killed for cash) Mission RUN Explore Create an alt and do a 0.0 run and see how far I get before I get podded. Low sec ratting in destroyers or smaller.. T1 only. (Fun in a group)

All my stuff is pretty much centralised into one region at the moment. Just to make it easier to switch between things I feel like doing.

I've actually tought about doing this, but the the initial cost of setting it up as well as possibility of having someone wardec my corp and destroy just doesn't sound tempting. It really bugs me to have to wait for a good 25-30 days for a slot to open. I even trained alts just to split the time up in research.

Of all these things you listed, here's my personal toughts :)
exploration : too time consuming, get more from missions with same time missions : 6 months of this is enough... corp scamming (not tried that myself) : I'm just not that kind of person mining : It's so much fun, not even pulling my nails out matches PVP : Yes, please - with who and where? Manu : Bpos still cooking, because it takes a while R&D : Ticking away few rp every day. Invention: Also takes a long time. I tought about it, but its same kind of time sink as my current empire bpo research activities.
Of all the things: PVP and manufacturing sound like the most appealing to me. Manufacturing is something I've set plans for allready, but they take time. How would I get into pvp the easiest way? |

Yeah I suck at it. I beat 'easy' fairly easily, but I have to use the standard 'diagonal lines' maze on medium (but I can beat it with 18 lives remaining), and too many of the early ones slip through for me to get a foothold in on hard.
I don't bother to submit my scores, cba tbh.

Apparently there are some Gallente girls flying around space offer to cyber-sex for isk. Don't know who they are but you can ask around, you'll need deep pockets though as I hear they don't come cheap. It may break the EULA agreement too. Should keep you entertained for awhile anyways.
