I refer to the latest EULA which specifies, quite unspecifically that CCP will/might consider removing accounts that have no activity on them in a certain time period.
Would a person in authority clear this up please.
If I do not play for an extended time, will my pixels be reclaimed back to the collective bit-bucket? If so, what is that time period?

If you want a "person of authority" to answer your question, you might want to write a ticket. You will rarely ever get an official response here. I do not think you will be able to get a guarantee out of them either way, though. They cannot really promise to keep everything forever, because things happen, policies change, stuff gets lost.
CCP reserving the right to delete accounts is nothing new, and it makes sense. They just don't want to face a thousand lawsuits should they at some point need to delete inactive accounts for whatever reason. So far, they have not deleted inactive accounts, and my guess would be that they will keep it that way. |

Thx for that Neuntausend, however I have already done as you suggested. They (support) refuse to answer on the grounds that they could be held accountable. They suggested I ask you lot.

The EULA and a GM are as authorative as you'll get. I'm surprised a GM directed you to ask other players. We can't give you an answer and neither can the ISDs, nor the community team without going and speaking to others in CCP.
The only thing we can offer is that to date, no accounts have ever been deleted so far.

CCP's is reserving the right to remove accounts that havent been played longer than the time fram listed in the EULA. It gives the players notice that this may happen in case it becomes necessary for CCP to do so. Its much like the name purge a few years back. CCP had a large number of names from trail accounts that haven't been touched in years and it was making it difficult for new players.
