So I was in a coffee shop getting an iced latte. After being served I walked around to find a table, and noticed a somewhat attractive chick playing EVE online of all things on her notebook computer. Never to let a perfect opportunity slip by, I made my move.
"Oh, you play EVE?" I asked, looking over her shoulder. "Why, yes!" she said. "Do you?" She then invited me to sit down, which I did, and we started chatted about the game. You know, "how long have you been playing?" "what race is your character?" etc - the usual stuff. Things seemed to be going fine.
Then I asked her what her favorite activity was, or her "profession" or whatever. She said she was a wormhole explorer, and had several of them she farmed and occupied. "What a coincidence!" I stated. "That's what I do too!" She then asked if I'd like to explore one of her wormholes.
"I'd *love* to explore your hole!" I said. "In fact, I'd love to penetrate *all* of your holes!" At this point she called me a name I cannot repeat on these forums in polite company, slapped me across the face right there in the coffee shop making a big scene (it hurt, and my coffee went flying into my face and lap), grabbed her stuff, and stormed out.
I mean, I just don't get it. You try to be nice and friendly to some people, and that's how you are repaid? Are all EVE chicks like this, or was it just this one? |

Sounds like OP saw a short flic on Pronhub.
They say most of your brain shuts down on the EvE forums. All but the impatient side, and the sarcastic side. No wonder I'm still awake.

Yeah it sucked, but there were two remotely humorous things to come out of it. I didn't appreciate it at the time, but in retrospect....
Anyway, first thing that happened. Right after she coldcocked me and stormed off, and my coffee went into my face and my lap, the guy sitting at the next table leaned over and said 'I guess she doesn't like the coffee either?'
So then I get up and go into the bathroom to try to somewhat clean up (towel off the coffee from my face, etc). I eventually get as clean as I'm gonna get, so as I'm walking out of the bathroom I bump into another dude. He looks down and sees my wet pants and says 'The coffee runs right through you here, doesn't it?'
