Every major patch contains a nerf to something. Sometimes major, sometimes minor. Sometimes it's something was overpowered for a long time (wcs), sometimes something just recently overpowered (inertia stabs). Occasionally the nerf is somewhat light (nos nerf), and sometimes it's overwhelming (ECM).
What do you think will probably be the next nerf? What do you think SHOULD be nerfed in the next major patch?

Nothing should be nerfed now, only thing we could use is counter for nos (that smartbomb idea is nice).

My guess? Passive shield tanking. On a Drake you get a better tank than a raven, use no cap, and spend less money.

A drake has use all it med slot, low slot and rig slots to create a ubder passive tank. A verry good passive tanked drake cost more then a t2 BS and the damage output sucks big time a frig will hit harder and it has a sig radius of a BS. Its a clear case of tank or gank nothing wrong with this ship.

QFT- I get a sick-ass tank out of my drake, but to do it I need to use all 6 mids, all 4 lows, and all 3 rig slots. I've found that if I use much less than that (plop in a damage mod so that i can do more than like 230 dps with t2 missiles) it brings down the tank, especially if one of the SPRIIs is taken out :shock: and taking out a PDUII causes fitting problems. I suppose you might take out a PDU II a LSE II and replace it with BCUII + disruptor for pvp, but... well, that's not nearly as great a ship. Like other ships, with the drake you have three options:
Tackle DPS Tank
Choose two and leave the third, or choose the fourth option: "TANK!!!!!" and leave the other two :) Please don't nerf shield tanks overall :)
I would like to point out that the Myrmidon runs a better passive tank than the drake... ... ... wait for it... ... ... ... ... While using NOS and/or guns... ... ... Oh, right, and 5x bonused heavy drones. Nah, that's not even remotely unbalanced.
Back on topic: My next guess (or at least my hope) is that they nerf Nos a little - It needs some penalty ASIDE from that "you can't use this slot for a different module", but retain their usefulness against small ships. I'd go further, but there's a lot of threads on the subject already. I also REALLY hope that they fix Amarr. They're really not good for very much atm. Even WITHOUT being constantly nos'd my abaddon seems so much worse than other battleships :( Lasers are... really, just not good. I personally don't think that omnitanking is a problem - EM tends to be my LOWEST resist on my Abaddon, and tends to be highest on my drake. And the difference is no more than like +/- 10%, i.e., the difference between my other resists :P I think that the problems are twofold: a) high cap use, so that most combat ships only get one combat bonus, whereas the other bonus slot is 'wasted' by simply enabling the ship to run its guns. Hybrids and projectiles are sometimes fitted on non-racial ships because they're more effective in that situation - but I've only seen this done once or twice with lasers, and both times it's simply been that lasers don't use any ammo for ratting or missioning :( b) They are effective in mid-range combat (30ish km) which.. well, never occurs, and amarran's don't have the means to get into that range (or stay there) __________________________________ <-- Behold, the eve-o forums |

a few things need equaling out - amarrs chronic cap use, minmitars bad damage,
but i dont even think nos needs nrfing, people just need to be smart, dont want to get nossed? faction scrambles dont cost much (what 50m for a 26km?) or use an injector,
granted against a nos domi, my tempest has a few troubles, but with an injector i can still fight and tank.
so nothing needs nerfing, thanks :)
ps maybe remote DDs, is a bit silly - maybe they stay in space for like an hour after one? but thats not for me to say

pps - to the people who say about passive shield (i dont use it at all, but have faught against it) yes u can get mad tanks, but with terrible damage and no scrambler/ webber etc. so just run, or tank it while corpies come to batter him.
scorps have always been capable of huge tanks...but it would make them useless,
just wait for people to get bored, with being boring

I think we will see some changes to the way DD and Titans work. Probably greater limitations for remove DDing and some kind of cap/recharge rate for titans so they can't jump in, DD, recharge their cap in seconds and jump out.

Sensor damps: Just as strong as prenerf ECM. Strong without bonuses, completely overpowered on ships with a bonus to it.
Titans: There have been enough threads on them to go into to much detail. DDD and warp jammer invulnerability needs to be changed.

I'd have to agree with this.
I think it will be a change made to have shield recharge times have a more constant rate of hp regen/time and not be a ratio of total hp/time. Extenders will then only give a buffer as I assume they were intended unlike now where they effectivly give both a buffer and a shield boost. I think it is that the Myrm doesn't have to make the same tradeoffs other ships do to achieve results (tank vs. gank). Cap boosters can counter NOS to an extent but you can run out of those fast. Nos can counter Nos but few ships can fit a full rack of Nos high and still manage a good offense. More Nos > 1 Nos. The Eos is simply too powerful when compared to other Fleet Command ships. Personally I would be happy to see other Fleet Commands buffed rather than the Eos nerfed but honestly the other Fleet Commands work as intended for their role so more likely the Eos would be balanced down a bit (the Damnation's split weapon layout and thus largely bogus damage bonuses rather stinks but then it has a stellar tank and in a Fleet Support role that is probably a fair tradeoff).

ECM works fine now, i would nerf other EW (TD especially) a bit more so it has same effect on specialised ships but lower on others. (sensor booster kind of works as a counter vs damp, tracking comp doesnt come even near disrupting power). Suggestion - make stacking more severe (1st 100%, 2nd 55%, 3rd 20%, then close to 0) instead of directly nerfing modules (well, they could do with a slight reduction too. SLIGHT != 50% ) Some t2 ammo needs to be fixed - I mean just amarr ammo - make production cost lower so we get like 2 times more shots per same isks (considering ammo gets blowned up more often than rest it seems logical), or make crystals more sturdy.
Change supercapitals - increase their vulnerability to tackle. And remove remote DD. After DD titan should be immobile for a couple of minutes, then he can move/cyno/warp. EDIT: if needed, even increase its tank. With blob reduction that shouldnt be problematic - move to the next point.
Nerf blobs somehow. There were some suggestions, i posted one myself that got totally ignored (was too confusing)

In no particular order, Nos, Titans*, Passive Shield tanking.
My bud's Myrmidon tanks something like 500DPS and he has few to no shield skills. Drakes are crazy scary. Has anyone tried BS yet?
*Refers to a thread in which it was proven that a Titan can go from 0 to 100% cap in under 15 seconds with officer modules and Cap rigs. (Which is possible.) [Not to mention that the BoB / D2 titans can Jump in, DD, and Jump out in under 2 minutes, even under 1.] Who cares if you have no tank? You don't need one if your already gone. "EVE is the worst MMORPG. Except for all the other ones."

Lets nerf every race and have everyone follow the same skill tree:
Clantemintarr Cla - Caldari ant - Gallente mint - Minmitar Arr - Amarr
Every ship will have the same stats, be equiped with the same weapons and the same defences.
Also make sure that ships cannot be on the same grid or else both will blow up (eliminating blobs)
Eliminate EW cause it makes people feel bad about themselves (warp disruptors & ECM)
Give every person unlimited iskies (n00bs that can't make money)
Give everyone their own private 0.0 system with no jump gates so no one can attack them.
This will make everyone happy

IF they going to nerf the passive tank on a drake, im going to quit eve, no (&$%ing joke. ALL the drake is good in, if you invest in it, is TANK. It has NO DPS, BAD SPEED, its WORSE FOR PVP, and ALL ITS GOOD IN IT TANKING. Why, omg, why? I really hope ccp is making a joke...in fact they gonna lose a dedicated eve player if they continue to nerf everthing i love...DRAKE 4 EVER!

Make Nos effected by sig radius. Each size nos has a different sig radius, and if aimed at a smaller one, it is only % effective.
Make BS have to fit small nos to deal with frigs, instead of one-size-fits all.

The game always needs constant balancing plus it makes pvp fresh everytime something changes, which is a good thing.
To all those who are against nerfing you shouldn't be so ignorant of how unbalanced the game use to be..

Nos and neuts need a good nerf and proberbly sensor damps so there in line with ecm again. Passive tanks only need a nerf if u can dish out good dmg and super passive tank, which the cara and the drake cant do. There is no way u can super passive tank and still dish out uber dmg. Drone ships on the other hand can use all there slots for tank and nos and still dish good dmg.
No that needs a nerf. It should be one or the other, both is overpowered.

I like Sensor damps like they are but ECM should be just as strong pre nerf ON ECM SPEC SHIPS ie. Falcon, Rook, Scorp (useless BS now! cept for bait)

Here's even a better idea. Lets leave everything the way it is. Don't balance a single thing ever again. Dev's will only work on adding content. If they add content and it's broken/not balanced we'll just leave it -because balancing/nerfing is bad. At the end of the day everyone will fly 1/2 of the ships from 1/2 of the races and they will all run the same setups because they get tired of being on the wrong side of the overpowered fence.
Careful balancing of a game is what makes it diverse. People will want to spec in other races and other careers than the mainstream overpowered race. I'm not asking for everything to be the same. In my 4 years of eve I've never heard of anyone asking for such a thing. What we want is to be able to use our racial ships and boni in away that allows us to be competitive.

The myrm's ability to fit 5 heavy drones, just make the drone bay size 120 m3 and it'll be all good. If the drake shouldn't be able to tank like a BS why should a myrm gang like a BS? 
Nerfing needs to be nerfed, just play the game and enjoy it in the best way you can
Kind of like the Triforce in Zelda, only not quite as potent.

isn't called balance. and yes they should continue to do it. the only people that are calling for no nerfs are the ones that stand to loose their advantage. not really the best argument.

Why dont we nerf the Complainers that complaine about everything that is not fair in he game and life isnt fair and i am glad that life and eve are not fair. Infact is thjere a way to nerf the nerf complainers on the froums and in the game ? I mean really..... There is no point in flying a ship that has a bonus and gives you no bonus because all you nerfing complainers complaint too much.
get alive or stop complaining. My myrmadon has great attributes but is up sh!!$#^t creek without them. and i will be d@#Md if that ship gets nerfed.
Infact why dont we all fly in pods and the one pod that gets bumped th emost pops first.
This way there will be no one to complaione about who is needs to be nerfed, infact lets not fly in space at all.....
I bet you'l all stop complaining then.
Why dont u train your skills. and learn to manipulate what your ship can do for the best results. you will be supprised what a pilot that has trained skills for can really do.
Can we have the Nerf complainer get nerfed for spamming the boards with useless complaints say like blocked

Geez nerf threads give me the ****s. CCP nerf something, then people automatically look for the next most powerful thing to nerf...it's a vicious circle. Leave things as they are and encourage people to spend more time thinking creatively than it takes to write a nerf thread

Nerf the Myrm, and I have a solution to the 5 heavy drones problem, Why oh why do drone bonuses work on all drones? light = frigate, medium = cruiser/bc, large = bs. So Lets make it drone size specific.
10% increase to medium sized drone hitpoints and damage dealt by medium sized drones
Problem solved, now the myrms drones are working as intended.
On a side note, I think target painters should be nerfed, we all know they are uber overpowered atmo. Rofl.

The exact same thing could be said about your ship. Why are you so afraid of a nerf? because your ship will be less powerful -ie. you're now on the wrong side of the fence. Unfortunately you can't follow your own advice and learn how to pilot your newly balanced ship.
can we nerf people that only see the game from their perspective.

It's too premature to even be thinking about directly nerfing drone boats. Two upcoming changes have serious potential to do that indirectly. CCP has hinted at NOS changes coming down the line. And we know AE damage will be made more accessible to combat clumps of ships (zomg, this could mean drones too!). Until both go live, and their effects can be judged, you are really jumping the gun on the call to gut a whole line of ships.

1. somtimes stuff gets gimped, and me reading them does not really effect that. 2. Nos is too easy to avoid, and making nos a mandatory module to fight against ceptors only increases the amount of nos setups, and is as such kinda counterproductive. 3. Didn't you hear.
