Another uber noob question i am sure hehe. Anyway i notice that there is alot of gear that is T1 that has the same stats as T2. An example would be if a T1 cap recharger is 20% and a T2 cap recharger is 20% is the T2 any better? Does it get more of a bonus or anything like that? Reason i ask is because i notice alot of things on the market where the attribute differance really isnt any different at all. In fact in the example above i saw a T1 cap charger that did 18% then looked at the T2 that did 20. Surely 2% alone isnt that much of a differance so do T2's get another bonus that i'm not aware of? Thx.

Sometimes you will find that T2 gear has lower "fitting" requirements than it's T1 counterpart. This means it will take up less CPU and Powergrid when fitted to the ship.
I hope this helps.

There's nothing hidden, except possibly with tech two weapons and ammunition (even then, it's written clearly in the attributes tab but people never notice), where only tech two weapons can use tech two ammunition.
Normally tech two items are much cheaper than tech one items that give the same bonus, because you can build tech two items but the named tech one items have to be found. You'll find that the named tech one items are easier to fit to your ship in terms of fitting requirements, and have lower skill requirements as well.
And in the case of capacitor rechargers, you have to realize that some people have too much money and so will pay a lot to get any edge they can.

I was just about to pose the same question when I found out that a Med Nos II had the same attributes only WORSE ship requirements as the Diminishing Med Nos I. So basically it is just because the Diminishing Med Nos I is harder to find and therefore more expensive?

thats about it, also its as good as t2, but only takes t1 skill requiremenst, and they are easier to fir makes them typically more expensive

T2 weaponry also benefits from the specialisation skills that up the damage they do plus the ability to fit T2 ammo.

However there are things where the T2 version is complete crap, and worse than the named T1.
Phased Muon Sensor Disruptor I
and
Remote Sensor Dampener II
The T1 has less fitting, and less cap use. Not to mention the lack of T2 price rapage.
