Many people may be unaware of this, but each corp is limited to a small number (300) of corporation standings slots. For many corporations, this is not a problem. For 0.0 alliances, where corporation standings and not alliance standings are used to control docking access, station services access, and POS actions, there are many potentail for problems. If an alliance wants to grant their friends docking rights, but has their 300 slots filled already, there is not really anything that can be done.
As far as I can tell, the number is essentially arbitrary, since the number of alliance relationships which can be set is not limited at all. The number of corp standings that can be set needs to be raised significantly, or removed entirely.
Alternatively, there could be the option to use alliance level standings to control access if an alliance wishes.
While this may seem unimportant to some, it is of huge significance to others, and does not seem to be a huge thing to fix.

It seems natural that if you assume the average corporation has 50 members (just as an example), and the the number of players in EVE increases, there will be more 50-man corps that need standings set in order to be allowed to dock. 300 may have been very adequate at one time, but EVE is a very ambitious and rapidly growing game, and this should really be adjusted accordingly.
Doing things like merging corporations or creating another corporation to handle different stations could work, but that's just working around an archaic game mechanic in need of an update. (And before anyone even starts, no, alliance standings cannot be set to other alliances for docking, it needs to be corp-to-corp) Its an unnecessary headache, and it wouldn't be too much to ask for those with power to change a 300 to, say, 600, or 1000 next patch, which I believe is scheduled for a week or so.
It could be that something like this was already planned for when CCP releases their new constellation sovereignty ideas or completes the starbase overhaul, but in the interim, people need to be able to set more standings now.
