I am a new Logibro around here and I was looking to branch out.
I wanted to be in a super tanky ship and basically draw aggro from the enemy. After discussing this with some miners in corp I was lead to believe the Bhaalgorn was a good choice.
Is the Bhaalgorn a viable tank neut ship?
What other options might there be for a support tank?
How does the Bhaalgorn compare to the other options?
Thank you all so much for looking at this, I really do appreciate any and all help. |

In what context are we speaking, PvP presumably but can you elaborate on what you invisage this role as part of? I.e. fleet work, small gang, Solo. Roaming/hunting or defending.
The baggle-horn (as it's known after a couple of beers) is indeed a fantastic boat but knowing exactly what you intend to try and do with it will help inform the feedback you get.

talking with others it's all good, but seeing it with your eyes is even better!

^ with this tool you can acquire a vast knowledge with ships and their bonus etc
anyway i see 3 solutions for your question:
- bhaalgorn: bonus to neut amount, and nos drain enemy cap regardless + bonus web range to close the distance (most tanky) - armageddon: bonus to neut optimal ( less tanky than a bhaalgorn) - t3 legion: bonus to neut amount (quite tanky)
these are the ships with more tank that you can get with bonus to neut etc. there are other ships, always with bonus to neut that are less tanky: pirate cruiser, combat reacon, force reacon...
EDIT: oh i forgot the neuting carrier :P but that's for pros |

You can fit a neut on every ship in EVE. Tanking is not a simple "I has ehp and stuff".
I can write books about tanking in EVE.
Eve Minions is recruiting.
This is the law of ship progression!

hard to beat a bhaal for raw neuting power, that said that may or may not be what you need. Context matters a lot in eve, every situation is different.

On the off chance that you are serious and so we do not confuse the player that posted started this topic "tank" refers to your ships ability to absorb incoming damage(buffer tank) or to repair that damage once it has occurred (passive or active). |
