I have a high degree of skills surrounding exploration. Recently, I've found that exploring in null sec is not as profitable as it used to be. Data sites do not yield much of anything anymore, and the relic sites are getting harder and harder to find.
So, I've started to dive into WH space to take a look. However, these sites are littered with rats that would tear through my cheetah in about two seconds.
I've recently queued up my training for being able to fly a Loki. I'd like to utilize this ship for exploration and clearing data and relic sites in WH space.
Is a Loki ideal for doing so? If so, what fit would be recommended?
If a Loki is not ideal, what would be a good ship to explore WH Data/Relic sites? |

Complicated question.
WH space includes pirate data and relic sites which are identical to those found in null. No rats. Cheetah would be fine there.
It also includes sleeper relic and data sites, which are quite frankly the hardest combat sites for a given wormhole class. A well-fit Loki could probably be fine in C2 relic and data sites but would struggle in C3 and above. |

unless you plan on salvaging, stick to the pirate relic and data sites (c1 - c2 only i belive). And you do it just as fast in a cheetah. And the occasional lossmail is a bit lighter. |

You don't do sleeper data and relic sites in wormholes for the cans - they rarely amount to more than a few million isk in C1-C3 class holes. You do them for the Blue Loot dropped by the sleepers (which can be quite lucrative). Don't think of them as exploration sites - think of them as combat sites and run them appropriately. You can then hack the cans and pick up a few million more isk as a bonus.
I'd recommend getting your feet wet with a Drake in C1-C2 holes. You can then move up to C3s where the Blue Loot is significantly better, but will require a much more expensive ship. A Loki will work, but a Tengu seems to be the PVE ship of choice among many wormholers. However, a Rattlesnake will also run every C3 site if equipped and flown correctly.
TL/DR: If you like exploration, stick to nullsec. The big money in wormholes comes from combat. |

I run wormhole sites in C1's and C2's with relative ease using a Gila with only Medium Drones, Caldari and Gallente Cruiser at level III. Minimal SP investment and you can try it yourself. Gila's are probably half the cost of a Loki and do everything better.

The Gila is very nice, but in wh space, especially when daytripping, it is nice with a covops cloak. |
