Dear players of Eve Online
For the prettyness of my own desktop I decided to make an Eve Online wallpaper, but I'd also like to share it with the rest of the community aswell.
As I found it rather fun to do, you might even see more appearing in the future. 
Due to Eve-Files being down for upgrades and maintenance, I had no choice but to upload these images to imageshack.
Here are the supported resolutions:
1024x768
1280x1024
1600x960
1600x1200
2560x1024 (dual monitor)
3200x1200 (dual monitor)
Certain parties have to be credited aswell. Those are CCP for this great game (keep flames in other threads  ), and Selvin for the very useful TriExporter. No pretty pictures without these parties!
Now that you are reading this you might want to take a look at my eve map too :P

well, it's supposed to be dark but you should see the outlines of most ships. I guess my monitor is just a bit brighter than your? (or yours is darker)

did you use photoshop??
The yellow dots bottom-right of the wallpaper are interceptors.
For some reason when I export the models from EvE they are on the right scale. That means interceptors and frigates are hardly visible for the eye.
And yes, I did use photoshop for the creation of the background (planets), and the specular/bump maps for the models. (Basically just the normal texture in black/white :P)

Nooooo these insane resolutions will have this pc rendering for at least 20 minutes a piece :P
Need to fix the moon texture for higher resolutions.... then i'll see what I can do.
Should look smooth in the end... if i can modify that 8000x8000 texture lol. Last time I tried it said I ran out of RAM :P (got 2 gig)

Nah, don't need the hosting at the moment. If I really want dedicated hosting I will either throw it on eve-files, or get my own server.
