I decided to try with Mining drones II first and the yield looks pathetic (less than an exhumer).
Around 31 000 m3 for 20 minutes or roughly 93 000 m3 per hour.
According to Pyfa, the fit below should yield around 206000 m3 per hour.

What is wrong with the math and in this case is it worth mining in rorq at all? I hear around numbers around 1000000 per hour, but it is nothing of the sort on SiSi. I would like to know before I buy a real one some day. |

I know that and have dully noted it above. I tried with MD II before testing with excavators. The yield does not look great to me and wondered who it is on the real server, before I make a 10B purchase. |

Couple of things:
1. Drone travel time.
Mining drones are not sentry drones. They Move to the asteroid, Mine, return to your ship. Rinse and repeat over and over. Closer you are to the asteroid and faster the drone speed, the more you mine.
2. There seems to be a problem with PYFA Calculations.
Currently testing, but it seems there is a calculation error somewhere in pyfa. Inside Eve, a character without mining skills gets a 29 second mining timer with Excavator ice mining drones, but in pyfa an all level 0 character gets 26.3 |
