1 EQ 2 PvP server 3 not sure anymore. they stopped showing how many were online (maybe when numbers started to fall)
but eve takes so much of my time now, yet it is hard to give up EQ like a bad addiction

1. ragnarok, pvp sections, couple hundred thousand (cute game, actually has an indepth fighting system if you take the time to get past the anime -- but this game is about looking cool)
2. FFXI, none, several hundred thousand (bored me too tears - i have more fun doing agent missions post castor)
3. muonline, pvp servers, several hundred thousand (million+ in asia from what i've heard) -- good lord, diablo rip plus it sucks
4. World of warcraft, semi PVP, expect several hundred thousand (this one is the next one i'll be joining, for now, it's EVE until then)
as long as eve gets better then most likely I will be playing these 2 games forever

Hey, I left Horizons (well ... left..it's only out for like a month or so) for Eve as well. If anyone is considering that game, don't bother and save yer money for some good booze on New Years Eve.
Oh..hi all.

There will be, Warhammer baby, smash & grab, or the popular combo smash & smash.
I forsee there being so much PvE you'll forget all about killing that one possibly friendly soul next to you.

If workshop was smart they would release Warhammer 40k Online and not the usual fantasy crap...i can't be bothered to play anything that is set in fantasy world anymore.

Edited by: Danton Marcellus on 28/12/2003 17:47:24 They are smart, fantasy is in demand right now and 40k sell very well in tin form, they're making the most out of both markets.
Also the Warhammer world is one of rich background history, it will be easy to immerse yourself in it, fraghags from here will worship them for the state of 'France' there.

Yeah, but a 40k MMOG would look like Planetside... I think a quality singleplayer game, a strategy or an FPS (mental note: must try out Fire Warrior) would be much better.

Edited by: Cao Cao on 28/12/2003 19:37:12 I used to play DAOC before coming to EVE. Then I quit DAOC. Tried to go back but EVE had me hooked too badly. I was on the PvP server of course and it has a shatload of players.
I am prolly gonna try Planetside a try since it is a "light" MMO cuz I got my "heavy" MMO right here. And I goshdarn hate non-PvP MMOs they are for little poutang girls.

1.) A Tale in the Desert 2.) Not PvP (other than the conflict games .. which are more akin to chess/Yu-gio/some sort of RTS than actual PvP) 3.) 1400 players ? (its really specialist mostly)
I'l probably get into Warhammer Online when it comes out since I'm into the warhammers (both) its fantasy yes but its not the usual generic fantasy crap the rest of the games companys seem to do
Firewarriors not too bad if your into 40k .. probably the best game they've put out so far .. but as FPS in general go theres a lot better out there (the PC port suffers from the low res, poor controls and poor framerate you get from a straight port from Ps2 though) . ----- Apologys for any rambling that may have just occurred.

Big hairy feet, like animal! Them hobbitses are all austin powerses.
Warhammer is perverted and meant to be, the ring world is sacred to many and have been tainted enough by simpletons taking a dump on the creation. It'd be interesting to see if the Tolkien estate would even allow a MMORPG game based on it, considering the amount of degenerates they attract.

You want a quality Warhammer 40k strategy game? Chaos Gate. (TBS of course) Another good one is Rites of War (Also TBS), not as good though imho.
Although, both extremely old, mainly singleplayer/2player, and could be expanded on .
Ontopic: Planetside...PvP...no idea. Intend to play in future: Eschaton, Pirates of the Burning Sea, Horizons, Darkfall, Anarchy Online. _______________________________________________________________________
