Privateer's have constantly claimed that they fight if the numbers are even. I THINK NOT!
yesterday myself and an old friend decided to go and test their policy on even numbers. on the PA side on jita 4 - 4 was a raven, scorpion, thorax, myrmidon and what i believe was a taranis.
we had a megathrone, a brutix and a dominix.
we where clearly not even numbers... but we felt it best to test similar odds at any rate. the result was them docking. upon doing so we set a rather cunning trap for them. we left the domi outside and myself in the brutix and my old friend in his mega ss'ed. the fools engaged!
we laughed out loud in gang chat and hit warp to! upon landing they immidiatly ceased fire and quickly docked again.
if i ever hear a word out of another PA guy saying their alliance actually prodominantly pvp's... im going to laugh...
because it is now clear to me that you don't pvp... you grief haulers and helplessly lagged pvp ships.

Who cares if they fight with even numbers? If you pre-arrange a fight.....even numbers mean something. If you don't, you know what you're getting, don't complain. |

But then again, if the corps that camped Jita 4-4 were actually there for fights, they'd be camping elsewhere, wouldn't they?

nono i dont think you misunderstood... we where attacking them... they docked... we didnt even have proper even numbers... they outnumbered us. their problem is they are so afraid of losing ships/isk they dont even fight winnable battles. just the ones that go beyond a doubt.

tbh... none of you have to read this post... but in other posts i've made i've been told how clueless i am and how privateers really does pvp and how i could never aspire to be as awesome as they are. when i test this and post my information all i get is smack on how im trolling... see the little tab on the side of the name of the title... read it... if its by me and you don't want to hear my brilliance don't ****ing click it...

Privateers are just an inevitable evolution in Eve.
Some of them join for PVP oportunites all over the damned place, but sadly there's quite a few guys that worry too much about losing ships and clones than having fun.
I suicided a Drake into a massive station camp last week just to see if I could kill anyone (I'm sure one of the 40 guys on the killmail can attest to that) 
Or the day before yesterday when I tried to kill a Machariel with Officer mods in a Crow.
Yeah, I'm an asshat, but it was fun. If everybody worried a little less about losing ships and worried more about having fun, this would be a better game.
Just my two cents.

unfortunatly we had primaried the raven. he tanked long enough to dock (he was going into armour when he did) we managed to gank a couple of agroed myrmidons before this fight though.
this is just the evenish numbers battle

P.S. Pointless premise to start with on many levels, for instance 1) yeah, you had 3, do you know that they didnt have another 10 wartargets in local? 2) saying "privateers this!!!1111" is meaningless since there are a lot of different corps in privateers with a lot of different levels of skill, goals, intentions, etc.

Since noone has said the obvious yet... on average there are maybe 400ppl in jita? 1/3 of which privateers have decked? really no way for them to figure out if you bring "even numbers" or not.
anyhow privateers are not a single solid entity, they are a bunch of corps who like loads of red in empire and joined privateers for that. some of them might enjoy challenging fights, some wont. unless you camp them right back you cant force them to do anything.
i imagine camping jita is like plex farming to them, not very exciting but it brings in the bucks for fun pvp  .

Look ma! I'm in an Astral Wolves "nerf privateers!" thread.
Our killboards are public, related kills are visable.
However that said, EVE is all about blobs and ganks, solo pvp and fair fights died long ago.
