This is a re-post of my reply to this thread. Posted here in hopes of greater visibility.
Please do not hesitate to forward this to friends, corpmates or alliance buddies that may have missed out.
In regards to the CCP Holiday Gifts:
- The deadline for redeeming the CA-1 implant was at 23:59 on the 5th of December
- The deadline for redeeming the CA-2 implant was at 23:59 on the 21st of December
- The deadline for choosing a gift was at 23:59 on the 21st of December.
- The Neural Remap gift was scripted to be given out at 14:00 on the 22nd of December. It was automatically applied to the highest skill point character on the account.
- Other gifts chosen were made available through the redeeming system at 00:00 on the 22nd.
We are aware of a large number of players that were fully eligible for the holiday gifts but either never chose a gift or did not redeem them in time. The implants were automatically added to your account's redeeming system, but were set to expire after a set date. The Choose A Gift program was facilitated through the Account Management pages on the EVE Online website.
The current situation is not the way we would have wanted it to be as the gifts are supposed to be something nice and fun for the holidays and not a tool of discord. This may have happened due to the time set for the deadlines, communication could perhaps have been improved or any other number of things. But we do know that less people received their holiday gift than should have. We are looking into possibilities to amend this in some manner. We'll be updating with further news later in the week.
In the meantime, if you missed out on the holiday gifts for any reason then please send us a petition. We are trying to be as accommodating as we can over the holidays in regards to the holiday gifts.
- Submit the petition to the Billing category under Reactivation Offers.
- If you have more than one account affected, list all of them in a single petition.
- If you wish for the Neural Remap, list the character to receive them on each account claiming that option.
 Please let your friends, corpmates and alliance buddies know that we are helping with this if they missed out!

I wish I would have known it was going to work in this manor. I wanted my remaps to go to chars I'm currently training have less SP's. Instead the remaps went to two chars I didn't want them to go to. Both of which I have plans to sell in the next month or two, kinda not doing much for me.
Is there anyway to get the remap move to the chars I wanted it to go to?

But if I obviously wasn't paying attention and thus dropped the ball, I would say thank you if you offered me another ball, which is the more appropriate comparison...

I remember seeing that this could also be petitioned and they would relocate the remap. Without trying to find the notice, I'd put it through the same location as is mentioned in the OP.

Hey,
Im confused about something. When i heard that one offer was expiring i thought it was the original implant that came out with the crucible expansion. So, the 21st deadline approached and i claimed an implant. little did i know that the neural remap had to be claimed on a website instead of through eve itself, and little did i know that the ca-1 implant had expired 15 days prior, and i dont remember any notification for that. So now i have 2 ca-2 implants, no neural remaps and still confused on why ccp would go outside the game to do this. Its like getting fisted twice, if i was gunna get screwed into implants im never gunna use, i should have atleast get four. I think the real question is, why would our holiday gifts expire, ever, and why before the holiday?
I mean, why have any expiration date.
Im just mad, and trolling over my own stupid moves, but i was really looking forward to an extra neural remap

I certainly appreciate the effort gone into these gifts. To be honest, the only gift of any use to my toons would have been the Skill Remap. The implants would have not helped any of my toons. I believe the more senior players probably have a similiar view. Please don't take this personally, while I SINCERELY THANK YOU for the remaps, I will still pass on the implants. Regardless of anyone's view, please keep up the good honest hard work that you guys do everyday. Cheers! |

Any chance we can get some atention to the WiS thread, please? Now that every gil who missed his chance to claim the gifts will make life miserable to every petitioneer who thought that having 5,500 petitions stuck was already bad?  |

Sorry for the delay for further updates.
We received significantly more petitions related to this than expected. We are looking for ways to tackle this in a fair manner for all involved. There will be delays in responses to those that petitioned for the gifts, but rest assured that all petitions will be responded to.

cant beat offering a gift that many dont even figure out how to acquire because it requires going to your account management function rather than the in game claim system , and then following it up with a system clogging petition requirement that also doesnt work because the system is clogged.
