This fell out as a side effect of another project I am working on:
Map
It's a machine-generated map of connections between regions in highsec. The label on each box shows the number of systems in the block, the region, a system in that region (picked basically at random, except the 5 hubs are shown) and the number of jumps that system is from Jita. (It's expected that a region may appear more than once if it is subdivided into multiple highsec blocks).
I hope this may be of use to someone. DOTLAN has a map of all the regions, but that doesn't cover highsec connectivity. |

I have a similar study going on, but I haven't visualized it like this yet. I removed the Regions with hisec islands from my list though, so that places only 17 regions for me.
Why a random picked system? Wouldn't the regional trade hubs be obvious for their volumes?
A useful thing perhaps is to indicate if jumping from Genesis to Aradia is a lowsec jump, which can be done with colored lines. FW area indications would also be helpful.

I don't show any pockets on that map - everywhere is reachable by highsec travel from Jita; but regions may appear more than once, if completely divided.

I'm not sure I follow you. The five hubs do appear on their blocks. Other than that it's random because I knocked this in an idle moment and didn't really have any good basis for picking one. I'm open to suggestions.

Aradia doesn't appear - its pockets are entirely isolated. What do you mean by area indications, please? |
