I didn't like the new skills and training window compared to the old but wanted to try and see if it would grow on me. I can now say that it hasn't. Can we get the old training window back? here are the issues I have, the skill groups are not in alphabetical order, the windows are so small I can't see very many skills without covering my screen, and the training window is again too small.
I understand wanting to change things to keep them looking new but why do such a drastic change if there wasn't anything wrong. Some of my characters are over 5 years old so I have seen quite a bit of change but this one I thing needs reverted or at least able to pull into a separate window.

No thet won't give us the old aura voice back either. We can't even get the old dark gray EOM skins back.
Edit: for clarification I support bringing back the old skill screen, the new one is awful. Just saying they're never gonna. Bring it back and they will lock this thread cause its not in the right subforum. And even if you make it there they wont read it and lockk it anyway. |

It's a one way street. Instead of asking to go back, think of ways to improve the new implementation and post them in Player Features and Ideas section. The Devs do read that! |

with CCP it's a roll of a dice if any UI updates are gonna be any good. Unfortunately you have to roll a natural 20. On a 10 sided dice. I think it has to do with a "but we saw some other popular company do it 5 years ago!" and completely miss the point on why that other software was successful.

My input is, I actually like the new skill queue. But it has a few small issues that need to be worked out. For instance, we need to see the training time modifier right there on the skill, whether it is actually training, waiting to be trained, or sitting up there in the 'possible to train' area.
If they'd make that adjustment, and a few other fixes, it would be good. |

Also consider that CCP understandably isn't very inclined to reverse something they spent time, money, and resources on just because some on the forums don't like it. No offense, but anyone would be far less receptive to, "It sucks, change it back," than, "This is how I think we could make it better," when you've already sunk into it. Not saying their ideas are always a winner, but by the time you or I hear of it and especially by the time we see it, they've already committed to it. Just dropping that much development time would be utterly stupid.

This is the core problem why modern software companies fail at some point.
They hire too many people with too much time that then need to justify their existence. Thats why they keep making up new things nobody even asked for.
Constantly fixing things that are not broken.
