to the odd replies....
My current setup
Highs: 2 medium NOS, 3 heavy electron II's Mids: mwd, web, scram Lows: Med rep II, dmg control and hardners (using non active atm) 5 medium explosive T2 drones
Only problem with this tbh is running outta cap, you shouldn't have any problems with any other cruiser and you can still prolly kill most tier 1 BC's if your skills are high enough...
Enjoy

A 1600mm plate is not gonna happen with medium guns and without grid mods or grid rigs, even with max skills. A 800mm plate will fit easily though. You could even fit a medium repairer with the 800mm plate. --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships! |

unless they have nerfed the thorax grid in the last week, you can fit medium guns + 1600mm plate
one of my favourate thorax setups has medium guns adn 1600mm plate 2dmg mods and a dcu with no repper, this is without any grid rigs ect

Like I said, it doesn't work. I'm looking at it in Quickfit which, for all its flaws, is at least reliable when it comes to CPU and grid requirements. 5x medium electron blasters II 1x T1 10MN MWD ...leaves you with 392 grid with AWU 4, which is what I have. 1600mm plates eat 500 grid. AWU 5 does not help in the least.
Wanna show me your setup with no RCUs or grid rigs? I'm not arguing for the sake of arguing, I just don't understand how your setup could possibly work. --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships! |

dam seems your right
guess i was thinking of my plex hack killing thorax which didnt have any mwd/ab
anyway the following fits and seems pretty good for pvp
24km. 90% webber. mwd named 1600mm rolled tungstron. DCU T2. 2x dmg mod. [nanofib or istab] 5x heavy electron T2
1x PG rig : 2x speed rigs you rep after the fight
or
24km. 90% webber . named mwd or t2 1600 tungstron. dcu t2. 2x dmg mod. medium t2 armor rep 5x heavy electrons
3x pg rigs
or
24km. 90% web. mwd 1600 tugnston. dcu T2. 2x dmg mod. 1x small armor rep t2 3x heavy electron t2. 2x heavy ion t2
2x PG rig. 1x speed/mass rig

Why wonder how you fit a 1600mm plate in a thorax and still have grid for newts and ions t2?Specially if the dude is a newbie in this.
I'd put, Highs 4xIon Blasters 1x Small Nos Meds 1x 10mn MWD 1x Web 1x 20Km Warp Scram Lows 1xMaR 3xhardener and 1 Mag stab ( or a small 400mm plate if you can spare grid for it but plates make you veeery slow ) _______________________

CAPS IS TEH CRUISECONTROL FOR AWESOME
If you are engaged by inty and they dont get into webrange, just mwd back to gate/station and jump out/redock.
That said:
High: 5* electron 2 (AM/Null/Void)
Med: 10mn mwd x5 web fleeting warpdisrupter
low1: small armor rep 2 damage control unit 2 1600mm rolled tungsten magnetic field stab 2/energized adaptive 2 reactor control unit 2
low2: damage control unit 2 1600mm rolled tungsten magnetic field stab 2 energized adaptive 2 reactor control unit 2
Dronebay: 5* hammerhead 2, there is no need for light. If you need light it means you arent webbed and can just jump out/redock. _________________________________________________ Breetime

THE best thorax pvp setup (my frineds solo BSes and this setup, and have a few nice kills, includeing a raven)
5x small neutron blasters II w/AM
1x MWD 1x webb 1x scrambler
2x 1600mm rolled plates 3x hardseners (1 exp 1kin 1 thermal or go for 3x eamn IIs)
5x valk IIs
Totaly outclassing anything else. not dmg wise. but its hard to chew through almost 10k Hp at 60% average :P + the drones hurt

Another setup that simply isn't gonna happen. The Thorax has 1025 PG with Engineering V. Two 1600mm plates will eat 1000 PG. Think about it. You'll need 2 grid rigs for it to be possible; that's 10 times the price of the ship. --- High quality pics of ALL EVE ships! |

the irony ---------
I would love to see a bounty pilot get some friend or an alt to pod them to collect the isk if that resulted in a two week delay before their 'personality' was uploaded to a new clone. |
