Well before anyone makes a deal with BoB they should remember some of the lessons from the Great Northern War.

Bob back then made a deal with Fade Union and Coalition of Deklein to help destroy the Phoenix Alliance, and after much fighting on behalf of BoB's interests, at one point BoB decided that these two alliances weren't of any more use and proceeded to KOS them, violating ALL their past agreements.

BoB didn't make a deal with FU/CoD to destroy Phoenix Alliance, cause BoB didn't exist back then.

Somewhere around April 2004, Curse Alliance and Forsaken Empire joined forces and became the biggest alliance in EvE. Reikoku, Celestial Apocalypse and Jericho Fraction, attacked FE in Tribute, whilst the newly formed United Corporations [UNICOR] attacked FE in Vale Of The Silent. Eventually FE got wiped out, and Tribute was declared a freespace zone, controlled by RKK/CELES/JF whilst UNICOR held Vale.

Coalition of Deklein/Fade Union/Phoenix Alliance/UNICOR formed NAST (can't remember what it stands for) a mutual protection treaty which recognises the sovereignity of said member alliances and the fact that Tribute is a freespace region open for neutrals with a NRDS policy. Some Phoenix Alliance corps shoot neutrals in Tribute, RKK gets ****ed, and eventually declaring war with PA. Soon PA is removed from NAST and NORAD takes its place, NAST/JF/CELES declare war on PA. Evolution comes to aid of RKK fairly early in the conflict, followed by m0o and after a while ATUK joins too. CoD merges with UNICOR to form the NSA.

During the GNW, the NSA didn't had any deals with Evolution/RKK except killing PA. The NSA didn't directly speak with Evolution, nor was there a lot of co÷rdination between Evol/RKK on the one side and NSA/FU on the other. ATUK and m0o, while blue to EVOL/RKK, kept shooting NSA/FU, even if ATUK/m0o were in the same gangs as EVOL/RKK. This started to set some bad blood between NSA and EVOL leaders, as the NSA held EVOL responsible for the ATUK/m0o 'friendly fire', as EVOL invited them.

Near the end of the war, BNC leaves NORAD to join EVOL/RKK/ATUK/m0o up in Branch. NSA/FU/NORAD sign a peace treaty with PA, PA crumbles soon after, exhausted by the war effort. BoB is formed. Some ex-CA corps form Not Another Freaking Alliance [NAFA] and try to invade Fade. 90 member NSA fleet and 60 member NORAD fleet scrambles in 30 mins and intercepts the NAFA fleet in Pure Blind. NSA and NAFA diplomats negotiate for 8 hours straight, eventually NAFA agrees to withdraw their fleet to Empire and merge with FU.

BNC/RKK attack FU. NSA High Council is aware of the new power that's forming just outside it's borders, and develops a defence plan. In a move to try and save FU from certain destruction, NSA annexes Fade. BoB spies in NSA (Going Limp) give BoB the NSA defence plan, and BoB declares war on the NSA. Both FU and the NSA get wipped out. Some NSA corps accept the BoB proposal to withdraw from Deklein and surrender, a handful of corps continue the fight, eventually forming IRON.

This should be accurate, afterall I was a UNICOR/NSA High Council member and Head Of Foreign Affairs in NSA during the GNW.
